These stories were stories of importance to the Hiramians. They detailed colonialism, conquest and survival under the Hiramian banner - and the sacrifices Hiramia had to face when performing those tasks of colonialisatio...
Major European powers, from Russia to Portugal, from Great Britain to Italy, headed en masse to Berlin, to decide which African lands belong to which power.
But one major power wasn't invited.
The Hiramian Empire stretched from New Hiramia (Perth, Austrailia) to Madagaskar, from the Ryder Colony to Hiram Land's Arctic Territory. Their rivals were Meowfwkia, which by 1830 was beginning a deep decline. They had lost land to Britain, Hiramia, the German Empire, and other nations. They still had land, their mainland stretching from Jakarta to Darwin, and had overseas colonies in Taiwan, in Guam, and they were eyeing on Africa.
Okfew and Hiramia were two different empires, however had a shared King, born from Hiramia. This meant Okfew and Hiramia were in a personal union, and most of the time Hiramia would support Okfew and vice versa.
Hiramia, and thus Okfew, begun landing ships in eastern Africa, starting from Madagascar, and colonising from eastern South Africa to Somaliland, from 1832 to 1883.
And it wouldn't have been possible without the Battle of Marka in modern day Somalia.
By 1876, Hiramian Somalia stretched from Jawhar to Kimsasyo, and this included Marka. Marka was a important trading area as it's gates leaving from Marka had roads around Hiramian Somalia, the gold and copper nessacary, so it was important for Hiramia to keep it.
A military unit securing the town had 10,000 troops, as Alexander the Great (Alexander XV) of Hiramia declared Marka the capital of all Hiramian Somalia.
And Meowfwkia? They had a tiny part of Yemen. That part helps to control access to the gulf leading to the Suez. Hiramia wanted that.
The Hiramian Naval Service, herein referred as the Hiramian Navy from now on, protected the colonies and the influence of Hiramia. In July of 1876, a small building exploded.
The building may be insignificant to you, the average reader, but it was the headquarters of the Somalian Naval Service, Hiramia. The colony had some ships protecting the harbors and coasts, which was lead by the SNS, Hiramia.
The explosion was blamed squarely on Meowfwkians claiming to be tourists. Three Meowfwkians, who had no trial, was quickly sentenced to death, and were executed by hanging.
Hiramia, and therefore Okfew, declared war against Meowfwkia.
There were many battles, and the war lasted 4 years, but the Battle of Marka was the most significant for our story. The Meowfwkians' Navy (it was actually called that) sent a ship of the line, four frigates, and two Ironclad battleships.
Hiramia had to spare 1 ship of the line, five frigates, four colonial ships that were armed, a coastal defence ship, and ten fireships. The rest of the ships were in the Meowfwkian mainland, and the Meowfwkian colonies.
At the sight of the sun, the Hiramians encircled the Meowfwkian ships. They immediately fired upon the Meowfwkians, and the Meowfwkians responded.
The Meowfwkian ship of the line, HMMS Cochran, fired on the Hiramian ship of the line, HIMS Alexander XV. Some smoke would come out of HIMS Alexander XV, but not enough to be concerning. HIMS Alexander XV fired ten cannonballs that would be deadly to HMMS Cochran. Large fireball explosions rocked HMMS Cochran, which was still made out of wood, mostly. The resulting fire spread fastly inside the ship, breaking the ship and making it sink within a hour.
However, 2 colonial ships, a coastal defence ship, four frigates, and 1 fireship had sunk or had severe damage. There would remain 9 fireships, 1 frigate, 2 colonial ships, and the ship of the line. The Meowfwkians lost 1 ship of the line, two frigates, and 1 ironclad battleship. The remaining 9 fireships were in a line, and that line was headed straight for the Meowfwkian ships. The ironclad ship sunk by the time the remaining frigates begun to burn.

This all took place about 10 km from the coast of Marka, hence the name the Battle of Marka.
The Hiramians won the battle, and would latgo on to win the war. The Okfewians gained Taiwan, Hong Kong Island, and part of Yemen. Hiramia got more land from Somalia and even southernwards, while also getting the important piece of Yemen they were fighting for, along with a small mainland expansion.
