Chapter 4🚧

Few hours later we return from the hospital with Corbyn. I never leave his side even though all the guys go to bed in their bunks I chill with Corbyn as he waits for the dizziness to go away.

He finally after 2 hours of being miserable finally finds enough peace to sleep. I stay up watching him sleep in his bunk as I sit on the floor waiting for 2:23 for my little birthday ritual. As the time comes I tap my fingers on the pulsing floor as we bump over a speed bump. As soon as it starts I begin my little melody.

"Hold me close and hold me fast The magic spell you cast This is La Vie En Rose. When you kiss me heaven sighs And though I close my eyes I see La Vie En Rose. When you press me to your heart I'm in a world apart. A world where roses bloom. And when you speak...angels sing from above. Everyday words seem...to turn into love songs. Give your heart and soul to me. And life will always be La Vie En Rose." As I finish my whispered song a tone fills the air melodies with my song. I look at the sound and it is coming from a pod that I took my nap in the first day.

"You sing really well even when your whispering," Daniel whispers remarking my little talent. I smile crawling over to the draped bed.

"Daniel?" I murmur.

"Can you sleep?" He questions.

"No, I don't have a bed." I say with some hurt because of my lie. He doesn't need to know it's my birthday.

"Well Aspens in here and she is asleep so my bed is taken." He says while rustling in the little pod.

"Well I'll just go to the community couch and sleep there," I say getting up off of the ground.

"Give me a second," he says kind of struggling, but he emerges from his bed.

"You don't have to leave your bed Daniel, I can survive out here," I say taking a seat in the couch. He rustles around the bottom of the seat pulling on a little tab that makes it extend.

"That's Dani I would have never figured that out," I say laying down on it trying to make myself comfortable.

"I'll grab some blankets and pillows for us," He says walking away. Us? He walks back a few minutes later throwing soft blankets and pillows at me.

"You don't have to stay out here with me Dani I'll be fine. You have Aspen with you anyway." I say remembering the events leading up to this moment.

"Well between us she is two faced and really boney so it's hard to share a bed with her." He says setting up the bed. I giggle laying down on the comfy bed sheets.

"Night Danny thanks for helping me," I say pulling up the covers.

"Your welcome Alex. Happy New Years," He says turning away with a small smile.

"Yep," I say sadly turning away from him to. I quickly fall asleep but some rustling woke me up and I see a figure standing over me and Daniel.

"Hello?" I question squinting at the figure but it just paces away as Daniel squirms turning over to my side with furrowed eyebrows. That probably was just my imagination again. I look at Daniel and just nod back to sleep.

"Guys look at those love birds," a voice whispers following with a picture. I turn over realizing I'm tugging Daniels arm with me. I look over at the noises and clicks. It was all the boys and Bailey who is perched on Jonah's lap.

"Oh she up," I squint at them and lay back down with a groan.

"You guys suck," I exclaim squirming around the blankets.

"Get up we are going out today and then going to the pier for some fun tonight." Bailey says pulling on my arm pulling me into Daniel waking him up and getting me on the floor.

"No we're not Corbyn's just fainted yesterday and he's not good," I say standing up and surveying the room of confused faces.

"What when?" Zach says looking at Corbyn. He shrugs looking at me.

"It was at the cheesecake factory last night, we went to the hospital." I say looking at the room but from the corner Aspen starts laughing.

"What? She's going crazy now, we were all celebrating New Years in the bus." She says responding to the room staring at her.

"No I don't remember that we were at the Cheesecake Factory but I don't remember anything that happened there." Daniel says defending me. Aspens smile drops to a scowl as the rest of the room furrows their eyes more.

"Ok just me and Alexa will stay here as you gaits go out." Corbyn says cutting off the conversation. Everyone nods and begins pulling out and into the next car waiting for them.

"Alexa text me if you want to get picked up," Daniel says rushing out of the bathroom with jeans and a graphic-t messily put on.

"Ok Danni," I smile as he walks out slowly leaving me Corbyn and the tired bus driver to do nothing for the rest of the day.

"Alex I got something of you," He says running to his bunk and pulling out a small shinny black box. He walks back over cupping it in his hands.

"Corbyn," I say trying to get out of this because it's too sappy for me.

"I know it's your birthday and this should be more celebrated and this moment should be more. Alex I know I threw away my shot of being with you all those years ago. I know I made a mistake."

"Corbyn?" I ask questioning where this is leading but I already knew I just couldn't believe it.

"Alexa will you be my girlfriend and accept this birthday gift that I will always from this moment will always one up its self?" I cover my mouth as he presents me with a small black card. I grab the card and open it as a little photo falls out of the card.

Dear Alex my beloved friend,

I'm always making it up to you and I realized how much I need you no matter what problem we are thrown into. I will show my forever love to you with a irreplaceable thing that will never leave me and I hope you will come with me to get it.

I slowly pick up the picture and turn it to it's right side. It's a picture of a couple tattoo. It's one with a planet and one with a rocket ship. I hold him in a tight hug. He is willing to get a permit tattoo for me?

"So is that a yes?" He asks petting my hair as tears spark behind my eyes. I laugh nodding in the crack of his neck.

This is the best birthday ever.
