Jasper's P.O.V.
I can't believe him. I can't believe men in general, always thinking with their other brain. I actually thought he was different. Obviously not! It sounds weird but after I walked away, I felt sad. After all he was quite nice company, a right laugh.
I realised after ten minutes of aimlessly walking around, I should probably get things for some friends back home from the Duty Free shop while I'm here.
As I walked in, I came face to face with that jerk from earlier. That reminds me that I must find out his name. I kinda feel bad for keep calling him "the jerk from earlier"
"Hey jerk that pushed me over!" I yelled through the store, earning weird looks from all the other customers, but he just stood there with an amused smile on his face.
"Very creative," he chuckled, "what are you? Like twenty five?"
"Wow, thank you for adding three years onto my age," I joked, "how charming? I'm twenty-two thank you very much."
He looked so shocked. Literally stood still with his mouth hanging open, until I walked up to him and shut it.
"Y-you're t-twenty-two?" He stuttered.
"Awww how cute? He stutters!" I cooed pinching his cheeks. He slapped my hands away. "Yeah, I'm twenty-two and the name's Jasper by the way."
I stuck my hand out for him to shake. He stared at my hand for ages before his brain registered my actions.
"Oh, right. Ummm hi I'm Jackson." I shook her hand.
Jackson's P.O.V.
She's twenty-two! Wow, she doesn't look it, or act it either. After I told her my name, we fell into an awkward silence until the lady on the loudspeaker broke it.
"Attention all passengers on flight A7SYD to Sydney, Australia. The flight has been delayed due to serious weather conditions. We estimate that it will until 9pm Sunday night for the weather to have completely cleared. This means that the rescheduled flight will be leaving at approximately 10pm Sunday night. If you have any questions or complaints on this issue please contact customer service, thank you."
"Great, just great." Jasper exclaimed dully as she patted her pockets looking for her phone. "Shit."
That's when I remembered that I had her phone.
"Ummm here." I said, holding it out for her to take. She look confused and enraged at the same time.
"How? How did you-?"
"You left it on the sofa after you walked off." I cut her off.
"Thanks and sorry. I was about to go ape shit on you." She said.
"No problem. Oh and by the someone called Alex phoned." As soon as I said that her expression turned from happy to worried. "Are you ok?"
Her worry was actually making me worried. What was so special about Alex? Shit, it's probably her boyfriend.
"Ummm yeah, just give me a second." She said and began typing on her iPhone. After a while, she held it close to her ear and began tapping her foot impatiently.
"Hey Mags, are you guys alright? That's great sweetie, how's Elli? More importantly how's Al? Can you put him on for me please? Good girl." She looked back up at me and mouthed sorry.
I could hear lots of shuffling and little kids talking in the background. Cute little giggles and singing.
"Hey Al, sounds like you have you hand full. Haha. Anyway, the flight has been delayed until Sunday night. I'm sorry, I can't do anything about it." She pulled the phone away from her ear and you could hear the shouting from two steps away. Obviously the person on the other side was not happy.
She held the phone back to her ear. "I'm sorry okay. Hey don't blame this on me. We'll be gone soon and then you won't have to deal with us."
"That's what it sounded like. Fine, but I can't get back any quicker. Tell them I love them, bye." She hung up and looked at me. Probably weirded out because I was staring at her whilst she talked. "Sorry about that."
"It's fine, no need to worry." I replied just as a thought popped into my head.
"Hey do you wanna get out of here? Explore a little?" I asked, actually a tiny bit worried in case she might shoot me down.
"Sure, but what about your flight?" She questioned.
"I'm on the same flight as you." I said. I was going home to visit my parents for a while, my sister is getting married next month.
"Cool, but how do I know that you're not an axe murderer? I have a family you know." She joked. This woman wasn't like any other I have met before.
"I'm not an axe murderer." I said, taking a step closer to her and grasping her small, soft hand in my big one. I quickly dragged her through the airport and outside to the taxi rank.
Jasper's P. O.V.
I was surprised when he grabbed my hand, but as soon as he did I felt sparks, like fireworks. It was weird. It have held hands before, but I have never felt like this before. I remember holding hands with my ex-boyfriend. He would squeeze my hand so tight and bruise it whenever another man looked my way. Thankfully I have just previously ended that chapter of my life. It was one thing to hurt me, but to hurt the people that mean most to me. That's when we have a problem.
I wonder if Jackson is feeling weird too. Also where are we going?
As he drags me along, I take the time to look at his features. This man could be described as sexy, handsome, attractive and DAMN!! He had the brightest green eyes and dirty blonde hair to go with it. His slightly tanned face looks as though it has been carved by an artist.
He wouldn't fall for me though. If he knew how much baggage I carried, then he would run for the hills. I've actually heard people say that I have more issues than vogue.
Once we got outside, he stuck his hand out for a taxi. After a while, one pulled up and Jackson opened the door for me.
"After you m'lady," he said in a really posh, English accent. I giggled at that. What the hell has gotten into me? I sounded like a 14 year old girl talking to their crush.
"You're so cheesy," I told him, "so where are we going?"
I like our little "banter" sessions. They're good fun, make me smile and they keep my mind off worrying about things.
"Well first of all, we are going to drop our bags off at the hotel just down the road and then we are going on an adventure." He said with a smirk. He looked like an excited kid in a candy shop. It reminded me of Maggie and Elliot, back at home. Alex would always give them sweets and then I would tell them all off for eating too much.
"Sounds good to me." I replied with a small smile. I'm missing Maggie and Elliot a lot right now.
