"Please can all passengers waiting for flight F8RGT to Budapest start queueing at the boarding gate. A member of staff will be with you shortly, thank you."
In 8 hours I will be home again and I can't wait. In 2 months I will be in California, working as a commercial account manager for DSP Apps and living in an apartment not far from the sandy shorelines. This is my big break in life, what I always dreamt of whilst growing up and now it is finally happening.
As I looked around the airport, I took in all the sounds and sights, trying to remember them, knowing that I will probably get lost in the maze of signs the next time I arrive.
Turning to go to my boarding gate, I only managed to take two or three steps before I felt a sharp shove sideways, forcing me to crash into another woman
"Hey! What was that for?" I yelled at the person responsible for for causing a human traffic jam.
When they turned around, my mouth went dry. They were a man. A built man, most probably built by angels. He had light, brown hair, styled messily on to of his head. His deep, green eyes connected with mine for a split second, before he walked off towards the customer service desk. He was probably going to complain about having a bad seat on the plane, seeming to me as being a spoilt child when he was younger.
"Are you not going to apologise for practically shoving me to the ground?" I shouted at the back of his muscular figure.
As soon as I said that he stopped in his tracks and returned to face me, so bthat we were standing within a meter of eachothere. He was quite intimidating now that we were both standing face to face, so close together. He must have been at least 6ft and last time I checked I was only 5ft 3".
"Did it look like I was?" He reeled off of his tongue in a cold and icy, low-pitched voice. It sent shivers down my spine. I was a bit taken back by his bluntness as well. Normally if you push someone over, you at least have the decency to help them up or apologise to them.
Our eyes held theirs gazes for a minute or two, before I gave up on the idea of receiving an apology and decided to break it. Obviously this conversation was over and I am guessing he had realised that too by the time I had twisted on my heel and walked off. The further away from that jerk, the better.
I continued walking, in hopes of finding a cafe or restaurant to relax in before my flight back to Minnesota.
After a while, I entered a starbucks
Jackson's P.O.V.
God, she was hot when she was mad. Not that she wasn't hot anyway but damn! This girl had deep blue eyes and pitch black hair, that flowed down to the middle of her back. She was beautiful.
I stood there open-mouthed as she walked off. I was shocked. No one, and I mean no one walked away from Jackson Daniels. I could get any woman I wanted because every woman wanted me, but not this one. Mainly because of my jackass move by pushing her over. I just needed a way to get her attention. I had seen her walk through the doors of the airport and knew that she was different and I wasn't going to let her get away.
I watched as she turned a corner before I shook out of my daydream and ran after her. I figured that if she saw a nice, charming side she might fall for me.
She walked into a small Starbucks squashed in between McDonalds and a Duty free shop. Quickly, I followed her in.
At first I had thought that I had lost her, as I searched around the cafe, but then I saw her standing in the queue.
I decided that I would wait for her to sit down at a table and then casually walk over and join her, trying not to look like a creep.
I watched as she grabbed her order, flashing a dazzling smile to the cashier and walking over to a little two seated sofa. This could be interesting!
As I strolled up to the table behind the sofa, her phone started ringing. She reached in her bag, searching for it and then read the name on the screen. Immediately her face lit up and a huge grin broke out on her face.
I thought to myself, did she have a boyfriend? If she did, then why would she be travelling alone? I got close enough behind her in to hear conversation.
"Yeah of course I got you something, why wouldn't I?"
She paused to listen to the response.
"I'll be back soon so don't worry."
The person on the other end replied.
"Ok, yeap. I'll be fine and yes, I'll try to stay safe ... Easy, calm down, I was joking. See ya soon, love you." With that she ended the call.
Love ya? Could be a relative right? Oh well.
I swiftly sat down on the other end of the sofa. She looked up, rolling her eyes at me.
"Not you again." She sighed and then went back to looking at her phone.
"Well hello to you too," I smirked at her.
"Just tell me what you want. Then leave." She said bluntly as she looked up to meet my gaze.
"You." I replied in my most serious tone, just to see how she would react. I wasn't kidding when I said I wanted her. She was different and every time she locked gazes with me, I had shivers running down my spine and goose bumps growing on my arms.
She looked at me with her sea blue eyes for a split second and I could easily read her shocked expression. Her gaze flickered between my eyes and my lips and her bottom lip was tugged under her teeth. I felt my breath hitch. Just as I began leaning in to kiss her, the best kiss of her life might I add, she burst out laughing.
"Right, now I'm confused," I said, slowly trying to figure out what was so hilarious. Mystery woman was still laughing. Nearly in tears! She was still laughing as she tried to talk to me.
"Is-that--the best -- you have?" She questioned in between laughs.
"What? What's wrong with it?" I defended quickly.
"Everything. You sound like some sort of kidnapper rapist person!" She choked out.
"Well that was not what I was expecting." I truthfully told her. She stopped laughing and looked at me seriously.
"And what did you expect? Me to just fall to the ground and bow down to you. Most women probably do that to you, don't they? Huh? God, you seriously expected me to be that easy for you to pick up? You're just like the rest of the stuck up playboys." After that last sentence, she reached down, picked up her rucksack and began to walk off. Was this woman bipolar or something? How can someone's mood change so suddenly?
"Hey, where are you going? Come on you don't have to leave." Did I really just say that? Oh god, normal me wouldn't have cared if she had left. She did something to me though. Also there was something about her that intrigued me. The way her smile barely met her eyes, or when you made slight movements she would flinch slightly, but it was barely noticeable. I mean I'm no Sherlock Holmes or any other detective but I was going to find out what the matter was, because as soon as I laid eyes on her everything around me stopped. It was like everything was put into pause. Within the first half an hour that I've known her, something she has done has changed me.
