Finding You Again( Sequel To IFY)

Part21_Silent lazy steps

Knocking on the door she entered in meeting room. Her palms getting cold and sweaty when she found Manik's eyes at herself.

“Come and sit here....!” Manik said, having his voice low and cold. She slightly flinched at his sudden order but then she just went and sit at opposite side of Daniel and Manik. She was fidgeting her fingers uncomfortably under the table.

“Do you love Daniel....?” placing his both elbows at table manik leaned forward. Victoria looked up towards Manik and then back towards Daniel. She was shocked, obviously wasn’t expecting the first question would be this. She needed any clue from Daniel, but his expressions were blank.

“I...I’m trying....!” she said, looking back towards Manik. She felt her own words quite silly for her own ears. She looked back towards Daniel and she couldn't comprehend what his eyes were saying. She felt guilty that why she couldn't say confidently that she loves him or not.

“Good effort. Try try again...!” Manik said looking down. He rubbing his forehead like thinking what will happen to the man sitting besides him. Who’s madly in love with this lady who's trying to love him back.

“Dude. What you thought before reserving your heart for this girl...!” Manik patted Daniel's back and Daniel gave him just confused smile.

“Couldn’t help, it just happened...!” Daniel chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. But his tone wasn't amused at all. Victoria didn’t look up because she couldn't bear those broken expressions at Daniels face.

She was hating herself for making him unwanted. She felt helpless and found herself still hanging between her Alexander and her childhood friend. May be Daniel was the one, who was her real destiny. She couldn't stop tears of helplessness in her eyes. She was feeling like culprit of every one. She couldn't give any thing except pain to everyone.

“You know you have taken a lot from me, knowingly or unknowingly you left me with nothing but just frustration and helplessness. But after knowing everything, I can't have my anger against you. Because may be we both suffered so much already. There is just one difference that, I have moved on and now my whole family is with me, but you still stuck in your past. I will give you sincere advise, try to move On. Life will be easy for you.....!” as Manik stopped, victoria looked up towards both of them.

“I’m sorry. I’m really sorry. May be I don't deserve any happiness....!” saying that she stood up and left the meeting room.

“Go, see her. She needs you....!” manik asked Daniel before leaving the meeting room as well. Daniel freezing silent, looking at moving door of meeting room. Taking a frustrated sigh he moved his fingers trough his hairs.
Daniel stood up and went to see Victoria, but she wasn’t in her room. He came back and receptionist told him that she ran outside. As he reached in car park, her car was already gone.

Running towards his own car he also drive after her. When he reached back at their mansion where three of them including Manik lived together,  Victoria’s car was already parked.

He ran straight towards her bedroom, but he stopped at front of her door when he listened her sobs.

Holding a picture frame, Victoria was crying her heart out. Her sobs stopped as soon her couch dipped with heavy weight. She looked back and found Daniel sitting besides her. Facing him, she hid the frame behind her back. Daniel stretched his hand out and asked for the thing she was hiding. For few moments she was hesitate but then slowly she brought picture frame ahead.
