"Hey Rue."
"Yeah Jules?"
RUE BENNETT TURNED over on her sides as she heard the soft sniffles coming from Jules, her friend whom she met not even two weeks ago.
"I'm just―"
She stammered on her words, unable to form a proper sentence. Rue's attention was immediately averted towards Jules.
"Hey, hey. What's wrong with you?"
Jules fingers fidgeted on her chest, sighing lightly before answering her question.
"I'm just concerned about you. I don't want to be friends with someone who's basically killing themselves, you know?"
Jules' body tensed up, by how harsh she sounded. Rue looked up at the ceiling, as Jules continued to speak.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean for it to come out that way, but I care about you, Rue. You're the only one who truly cares about me right now."
Rue stayed silent, thinking about what happened before she rode to Jules' house.

"Aye Fez, open up man. It's me."
Rue knocked on the front door of Fezco, AKA Fez, house. He was Rue's drug dealer, yet he was more than that. He cared about Rue, a lot, and was a supportive friend to her. Hense why he had to say―
"No, Rue. I can't."
Rue stared at the door in confusion, then laughed it off as she knocked on the door once more.
"C'mon, stop playing with me man. I just need a couple of xannies."
"Rue, I'm serious. I can't give you anymore drugs."
