I leaned my head on the window's glass, fixing my eyes on the road, the trees and the sky, while the others in the car were silent.

That precious moment !

I began to use my wide imagination again to travel to somewhere else, where I could be free alone. Then I started to make some adventures and scenarios for myself.

Quickly, my eyes felt too  heavy that I wasn't able to keep them open, so I just gave in and shut them down.

And quickly I fell asleep.

Moments later, I felt like an earthquake shaking the whole car and got me back from my dreams land to reality.

I woke up bothered and looked through the window to find that we were on some mountain, where the ground was covered by tiny stones.

This shouldn't be our direction.

"Slowly! Dad." I said, trying to make my tone calm.

He kept his eyes on the path and replied. "I'm trying, but there's a problem with the map or something."

That's what I assumed.

Mom woke up startled and studied the place for a second. "Where are we?" She shouted. "We shouldn't be here."

"That's what I'm saying," dad answered. "I think I took the wrong way."

"God, Steve. I close my eyes for seconds then find that you already messed up."

Dad didn't reply, because he knew that it was his mistake.

Dean, my brother, kept staring at the height between us and the actual ground under the mountain, then looked at me saying. "Cool! Diana, look. We'll get crushed like a little bug if we fall out from here."

This creeped the hell out of me, so I ignored that retarded boy and gazed at the road in front of us, it was going to end soon.

Everything was messed up, mom yelling at dad, dad trying to focus on the way while yelling back, and Dean giving theories about what would happen if we fell down from such a height.

Suddenly, everyone closed their mouths and stared with amazement expressions on their faces, as we got inside a large forest that was nothing but long, skinny trees.

"Where are we going now?" I asked erasing that amazement from their faces.

"I've no idea." My dad answered.

Mom looked at both of us annoyingly then said. "We're lost now, because someone didn't pay attention. You literally had one thing to do, Steve."

"Come on, you can't blame me for this."

"Then, who else do I blame?"

The dispute between them seemed like it was never going to stop, so I decided to ignore them and gazed at the woods.

We'd find our way back easily. I mean what harm that can happen inside a forest?

That's what I said.

But in fact...

I don't even know how it happened. they were so noisy in a moment then Boom! Everything went silent.

We had a car crash that caused me to faint for a while.

* * *

I slowly opened my eyes and looked at the roof for a minute, recalling what happened earlier.

Mom was shouting, dad was shouting back, Dean was studying the place.

Then this giant tree came just in the middle of the way.

I struggled to move my body because I felt that all my bones got broken, all at once. I took all my efforts to open the passengers' door.

I pulled myself to the outside to lay on the floor for a second and to concentrate my energy, then I glanced at the car.

It was empty! No one was there.

Dean, mom, dad...

They disappeared.

I rubbed my eyes for like hundreds of times to make sure that what I was seeing was right. And yes, nobody was there.

The realization of being there alone and my family had just disappeared made me stand up too fast, ignoring the soreness and the wounds I was covered by.

I got up quickly and called. "Mom! Dad! Where are you? Dean, are you here?"

But there was no reply.

so I began to walk around, searching for them. They wouldn't get so far, especially if they were as injured as me.

I tried my best to yell their names, though all I could hear was what to sounded to be crows.

I walked further from the car, not knowing where to go, I just wanted to find my family. I was so hopeless and desperate for that.

Despite of the fact that I was too scared, too fragile and unable to hold myself for extra minutes. I was intent on finding them.

It was getting darker but still, I didn't catch any sight of them. I was going to go back to the car for the hope that I'd find them but told myself. "For one last time." I had to search in the area next to me for one last time.

So I got myself to walk toward the east exactly, since the sun was behind me. That part of the woods seemed a bit darker and dead than the other one, maybe because of the sunset.

I felt my body getting heavier, as I got closer.. As if the gravity worked stronger in that place.

Moments later, I felt like I got inside something invisible, but sensible.. like a zone or something.

Dizziness overcame me with strange noises in my head, then I fainted one more time.

* * *

It was already night when I opened my eyes, I stretched my arms and sat down, leaning my back on a tree. All the trees there seemed to be more different than the ones I saw earlier. These were bigger and most of them were dead.

I looked at the region in front of me and could notice, thanks to the moonlight, that it was so bleak, scary and foggy, unlike where I left the car. I tried to move quietly, but I moaned instead since my whole body was badly harmed. And this little moan caused a loud echo.

The fog next to me hid shadows behind it, they looked like trees and branches when, in fact, they were moving and getting closer to me. I didn't believe it at first, and thought it was just a mere mirage, but those shadows were so clear under the moonlight; floating bodies under dark robes with big deer horns and their heads were like animals' skulls.

This freaked me out and I assumed that I was dying and they were my Grim reapers who came to take my soul away.

I was dying.

Especially as they got closer and closer to me, only few inches separated between me and five of them.

I squeezed my eyes as hard as i could and waited for the end, when something _or I should say someone held my waist tightly and flew away with me.

At first, I thought that they eventually got me, but when we landed on one of those giant trees, I opened my eyes.

And Holly shit !!

I think an angel caught me.

A pretty damn hot angel.

He looked at me with piercing black eyes. I could see well his sharp features and his dark hair under the moonlight, there was a deep, noticeable scar under his right eye. I was so conscious about the fact that he was holding me tightly and that my arms were wrapped around his neck.

"If this is my Grim reaper, then I'll gladly accept my death."
