"And another one bites the dust. You are o-for-six, popeye." Robin said, dragging the marker down the board.

"Yeah, I can count." Steve replied with a sigh. He hated this, he recently told his new best friend Robin, that he really liked Y/n, still. Y/n was allowed to go outside the house now, not necessarily alone. She often came to visit Steve at his new work at Scoops Ahoy. Steve told Robin she was in a car accident three years ago, completely erasing everything from her memory, which explains why she was always asking what words meant.

Robin didn't mind Y/n, she actually thought she was sweet but when Steve told her that he liked Y/n and for a long time, she couldn't help but laugh about his awkwardness around her. She started to keep track of when he was blowing it.

"You know that means you suck!" Robin said, holding the board up. "Yep, I can read." Steve sighed. "Since when?" Robin asked jokingly.

"Since this stupid hat! I'm telling you, it's totally blowing my best feature!" He said, watching Y/n make her way to the bathroom.

"Yeah, company policy is a real drag. You know, it's a crazy idea but have you ever considered telling the truth to her?" She asked Steve.

"Oh, you mean I couldn't even get into tech and my douchebag dad's trying to teach me a lesson. I make three bucks an hour and I don't have a future. That truth?" Steve said, sighing.

"Hey, twelve-a-clock." Robin said, pointing over at Y/n who was finished with the bathroom and made her way back into the ice cream shop, looking down.

"Oh shit, oh shit. okay, um, I'm going in. Okay and you know what? Screw company policy." Steve stated, throwing his 'ahoy' hat into the backroom.

"Oh my god, you're a whole new man!" Robin sarcastically says. "Right?" Steve quietly said, moving his shoulders jokingly towards robin, then quickly turning around seeing Y/n.

"Hey, Y/n!" Steve said loudly, scaring her. making her go wide-eyed, looking up with her hands open, still having the reflects to instantly use her powers. She sighed when she saw steve, sending him a slight glare.

"Don't do that, Steve!" She quietly pouted with a sigh, he quietly laughed, Robin laughed too, making another mark on the 'you suck' side, watching them.

"Okay, I'm sorry. Come in." Steve said, opening the door to get behind the counter, pulling her into a hug as Robin watched, adding another strike. Steve liked y/n for almost a year. He was planning on asking her out soon, he resorted to really only hanging out with Y/n, Robin and the younger teens.
