(dawn, May 23rd, year unknown)

Darkness blankets the room. Eerie silence still shadows the town, grim and unmoving. It is as though we are one at last. The twin halls murmur with waking sounds, stirring minds whirring back into life once again.

Brought to consciousness, she rises.

Luscious, dark curls frame her angelic face, eyes swollen and red from the blue light keeping her awake throughout the night. Under the smog of restless sleep, her eyes glow a green brighter than any emerald the human eye has seen before. Her eyelashes dance like spiders in the waking breaths of morning, nose twitching as the dust collected overnight is disturbed. Silk draped over her slender limbs, trimmed with fur as soft as fresh powder snow, she shivers, her breath billows out of her chattering mouth, white and crystalline in the rising sunshine.

She seems to float on the tips of her toes as she drifts toward the kitchen.

A vase of blood red roses sits upon the marble bench top, striking against the soft whiteness of the room.

It seems to call out to her, enticing a thumb to the thorns. She pricks her thumb, and falls.

The Gemini Towers are brought to life as Mercury rises.
