Doyoung looked like he wanted to yell at him, but he knew that he could get him caught if he was too loud.

"Jaemin... What were you thinking...?"

"/I had another dream hyung. A fox in my dream told me that I have to accept both halves of myself. Otherwise, I'd never have the strength to protect what matters to me/"

So that's why.

"That's why you were smiling so much before"

"What do you mean hyung?"

Doyoung didn't seem to be catching on.

"He was smiling so much so that we'd see that he was happy with the decision that he had made, no matter how scared he actually was inside. And that's why he didn't try to defend himself, and let himself get captured. It took his strength of self sacrifice to keep the rest of us safe. Right Jaemin?"

"/Right/"

"But Taeyong-hyung, that's still putting us in danger right???"

If Jaemin was here, I bet he'd be giving Doyoung the same confused look that I was.

"How do you mean Doyoung?"

"You know how they operate. It's the same thing that happened with our parents years ago. If someone tries to go against their will, they find a way to go after them. Since all of us have tried to go against them by keeping Jaemin from them-"

"/They can use me to go after all of you.../"

"Exactly..."

"/Taeyong-hyung, you gotta get me out of here.../"

"We can't. Lucas informed us that we only had five minutes to talk to you after I fixed him. We didn't have time to come up with an actual plan.."

"But who knows what they're going to do with him hyung!"

Doyoung softly screamed.

"/Actually..., I think I know.../"

"What is it Jaemin?"

"|I'm sorry to interrupt Sir Taeyong, but our time is up. Would you like me to disconnect you?|"

"No, not yet. Just keep us on. We have to see what they're going to do to him. Just mute our end"

"|Understood|"

He muted our end of the call, and four men walked into the room right after: one scientist, and three of the government soldiers.

But, one of the soldiers looked almost as if he didn't want to hurt Jaemin.

Jaemin's POV

I was kind of sad that Lucas had to mute my hyungs on the other end, but I'm more concerned about how I've managed to put them in even more danger.

The scientist and the soldiers walked in, and I was kind of uncomfortable with the creepy smile that the scientist was giving me.

The soldier that was talking to me earlier had a box, with something red glowing inside of it. I couldn't help but feel uneasy about it.

The scientist typed a few things on the computer, and soon my vitals and everything showed up on a monitor in front of me.

On the monitor next to it, it had the words "System Override" displayed on it, with a little progression bar below it.
