He stayed silent for a minute, and averted his gaze from me to somewhere else in the room.

"I don't understand why they want to use you. It just doesn't make sense to me..."

He got up, and began walking away to the door.

"Hey wait! What do they want to use me for??"

He didn't say anything, but he just looked back at me.

"Just, don't lose sight of who you are once they tamper with you.."

He walked out before I could say anything else.

I stared up at the ceiling and thought about what he said.

What does he mean, don't lose sight of who I am??

What are they planning to do with me...?

Taeyong's POV

To say that Mark and Doyoung were just sad would be a complete lie.

They were both a complete and utter mess.

The others literally had to carry Mark back here, because he was crying so much that he passed out. So now he's sleeping on the couch, while the rest are scattered about, as quiet as ever.

Doyoung on the other hand, was currently sobbing while laying on my lap.

I may be close with Jaemin, seeing as I'm the one who pieced him back together, but these two seem to have a much stronger connection to him.

I saw everything that happened, but Doyoung missed it since he had fallen asleep. I'm sorry that he had to wake up to something as heartbreaking as this.

I don't think that any of us will understand why Jaemin just gave himself up like that, without even putting up a fight.

I could see the pain and sadness in Mark's eyes when he tried to stop Jaemin. You could even hear it in his voice.

Seeing how destroyed Mark and Doyoung are, I just can't leave things like this. I have to try and do something.

"Doyoung, come with me to the lab. I wanna see if I can do something"

He just nodded and got up with me.

Luckily his sobs were starting to cease, so it'll be easier for me to focus on Jaemin. When we reached the lab, he stayed silent and sat in the chair next to mine.

I started up my computer and tried to connect to Lucas' software, but he was completely disabled.

It must've happened when Jaemin got tased earlier.

It took me a few minutes, but I managed to tap into his software to fix him. He seemed confused, but I informed him of what happened.

"Lucas, where is Jaemin now?"

"|Inside of a government base. He's strapped down to an operation table, but he doesn't seem to be too bothered by it|"

"Put me online. I wanna talk to him"

"|Understood. You have five minutes before they come back|"

With that warning, Lucas put me on the line with Jaemin, so that we could speak with him.

"Jaemin. It's Taeyong"

"/Hi hyung/"

He spoke at a low tone, so that no one would hear him.
