Chapter 21 - Rejected

Start from the beginning

"Yes mother dear." I say before hanging up and tossing my phone onto my bed. I walk back out into the living room and notice Everett still hasn't moved. Lazy ass. I walk over to his DVD collection and look through them, trying to find one that isn't too scary or werewolf related.

"I have more DVD's in my bedroom." He says suddenly, I turn around to look at him.

"Are you going to watch one with me?" I ask, sticking out my bottom lip.

"Depends on what DVD." He smirks, nodding towards the hallway. "You can go in and have a look. Be careful of the blow up doll! I don't want to pop her!" He calls after me, making me laugh. I walk into his room and find some more DVD's next to his T.V. I gasp as I pick one up that is definitely not PG rated! I stomp out into the living room and hold the porno up in front of him.

"I'll watch that with you." He says straight away, smirking and patting the space next to him.

"You are such a guy!" I snap, throwing it at him.

"I would hope so!"

"Why did you send me into your room to look through a pile of porno's?" I ask, trying not to laugh at his carefree attitude.

"I think they are genuinally top notch DVD's." He gives me a thumbs up and I laugh before quickly catching myself.

"You're sick!" This time my tone comes off breathless from my laughter. I grab the first DVD I see and look at it. 'Batman Begins.' I shrug and put it in on, I haven't watched Batman in forever anyway. I take the remote and sit down on the couch next to Everett, pressing the play button.

"I think Batman is the best superhero." I say a few minutes into the movie, earning a bad look from Everett.

"I thought you were better than that." He shakes his head and makes a tut tut.

"Well who's your favourite then?" I ask, folding my arms across my chest.

"Superman of course."

"He can only lift buildings." I scoff, shaking my head. "Batman is like so much better."

"How is that so?" He challenges, we both abandon the movie.

"First, Bruce Wayne only became Batman because his parents were murdered which is totally awesome for revenge. Second, he does so much more cooler stuff than Superman and he doesn't even have super powers. And last but not least, he's rich and hot." I cock my head to the side, daring him to prove me wrong.

"You think Batman's hot?" He asks, raising an eyebrow at me.

"You jelly?" I raise an eyebrow back at him.

"I just didn't think guy's who dress as animals were your type." He chuckles and I slap him.

"Just cause you have a man crush on superman!" I snap.

"That's it! I have a giant man crush on superman! You found out my secret!" He smacks a hand to his cheek.

"At least my crush is hot!" I say and he groans in frustration.

"Superman is hot!" I can't help but laugh at him, making him more grumpy.

"If I was you I would just stop talking." I pat his arm gently.

"I don't want to watch this anymore." He grumbles, grabbing the remote and turning off the T.V.

"Hey!" I snap, snatching back the remote. "You can't just do that!"

"It's my house and my DVD." He argues. Good point. I growl and throw the remote onto the floor.

"You always have to get your own way!" I look at him accusingly.
