New Beginnings [REWRITE]

Slush

Today was a pretty normal day, in my books at least, at my school I tried my very best to study hard so I can go to college, But surprisingly my math final today wasn't extremely hard nor was the essay I had to write for English. I'd say the hardest part of my day is trying to survive the heat that is the Arizona sun.
With the days getting hotter and hotter as the month of June approaches, I find my diet slowly start to consist of slushees and a bag of peanut m&m's. This is where my life is at right now, I'm trying to make a very important decision in my life, now do I want a red slush or a blue slush. The red slush gives you the edge of eating sour patch kids at the movie theaters with your significant other, and while I've never felt that in my entire life, that's why the red slush is so good. But on the other hand the blue slush is the feeling of getting the last blue jolly rancher from your siblings and feeling the sweetness of satisfaction and victory.
Now you may be thinking, why don't you just mix the two flavors together, and I just have to tell you that, that is a horrible idea. Mixing a sour cherry with a sweet blue raspberry is like mixing reds with whites, you get this pink shirt and your piano recital is tonight and you only have one nice white dress shirt and now it's pink. So no I will not be mixing the two flavors together. 
With a sigh, I flipped a coin, heads being red and tails being blue. In the end, I got tails meaning I was going to have blue. I gave my cup a generous pour and headed to the front of the store. I set my things down on the counter before realizing I forgot a straw, "Hold on just one second, I forgot a straw." I told the girl, she nodded and a went to the back.
In the thirty seconds that I was trying to find a green straw, a man walked into the store and started yelling at the girl. I turned around at the noise and I saw the man holding her at gun point. I was frozen with fear, just as I was about to start creeping forward, he started yelling at her to put the money in the bag.
    The girl, her name is Violet, and I made eye-contact before she opened the register and started throwing the money in his bag. I began to creep forward and I had gotten as far as the hot foods when I glanced over to them again, he was glaring at her while pushing his gun against her throat.
'I only have so little time, I need to distract him so she can get away...' I think to myself before my eyes land on the microwave. I inch toward it but when I was looking at the two I didn't notice the display of candy until I tripped over it. Suddenly I heard the man's gruff voice once more, "You fucking bitch! Why didn't you tell me there was another person here!"
     I jumped up with a can of soda in my hand, shook it up as fast, and threw it as hard as I could as the assailant. It hit him and exploded on contact, I turned to Violet and screamed, "Run! Get out of here!" I watched her run around the man on the floor and out the store. Then it hit me, I'm alone in a convenient store with a man who as a gun and I threw a soda can at him. 'I'm fucked..' While he was getting up, I tried to run away, but he shot my in the leg. I fell to the flor and cried out in pain, it was burning so much and I had to squeeze my eyes shut because the pain was so intense. The only time I opened my eyes was when I heard footsteps, when I opened them up I saw the man staring me in the eyes. I saw his dark eyes filled with hatred, in my peripheral I saw the neon lights of the red and blue slushee machine before my everything went dark.

When I was awoken, I was in a black space in a chair. Suddenly a harsh while light was shining in front of me on a shitty fold up table. There was a piece of paper in front of me with instructions on it that said READ QUESTIONS OUT LOUD. I picked up the paper and read the first question out loud, "Pick a character." Below the first instructions were a list of characters with a description of each person.

HIYASHI MATSUKO- She has short purple hair, with grey-blue eye combination and a dull brown skin tone. She's very loyal and caring but also clingy and tardy all the time. Her quirk is illusions, she make mirage type illusions to trick her foes or to distract them long enough to restrain them. Some cons to her quirk are that it doesn't work against non-living things such as robots and her eye sight starts to deteriorate the longer she uses it.

FUJIMOTO AI- She has dark brown eyes, with long salmon colored hair and a pinky grey skin tone. She has devil like horns on the top of her head and a hairless tail. She's very loud, abrasive, and cocky but is also quite loyal and caring towards her friends and family. Her quirk is called Akuma and it allows her to go into what she calls "beast mode" which allows her to become stronger and faster. Some cons to her quirk are that she gets tired faster the longer she uses it and her senses start to shut down.

ASATO FUYUKO- She has medium length light green hair and black eyes, her skin tone is light shade of green, almost white, with freckles all over her entire body. She is kindhearted to everyone she meets and most can say she is a peaceful being. Although she is very cowardly and is often very finicky over her friends and schoolwork. Her quirk is called botany, she can sprout different herbs and use them for healing her classmates. Depending on the plant she can heal cuts and bruises to larger wounds such as broken bones and stab wounds. Cons of her quirk are that depending on the wound size it takes energy with each herb.

I stared at each option before marking the first girl, she doesn't have that special of a quirk but I think it'd be cool to face the challenge. I check the box next to her name and suddenly the paper disappears from my hands and is replaced with a different piece of paper. At the top of the paper it read, THESE ARE THE RULES AND REGULATIONS, READ THIS ALL AND SIGN AT THE BOTTOM FOR CONSENT, it read
Congratulations, you have been chosen for the Custom Reincarnation Agency or CRA for short. You will be sent back to a randomly chosen world as the identity you've chosen. You will go into your next life with a pair of fake parents and false memories, you are expected to lead this life with the identity you've chosen. We are counting on you not to mess this up, the entire agency is counting on you.
    At the bottom of the passage was a line and the caption that said

    So I cautiously wrote my name on the bottom, suddenly the pen and the paper disappeared and my world went dark once more.
