This was the most requested topic last month so this month we take a look at tenses. This video is on the longish side, but it has examples and you can really pick up a lot from it. The smoother you work is, the more likely that when you get to the agent step, your work isn't thrown in the slush pile.
Here at Round Robin, our goal is to help everyone become the best author they can be, and that means tackling the not so fun topics as well, but we believe that you guys can do it!
Homework time!
Give an example of a sentence with a bad tense, as in the verb tenses don't match.
Now, show an example of a working tense.
What tenses do you find the hardest to keep consistent?
What tense do you write in the most often?
Extra credit! Write an entire paragraph (3-4 sentences) using correct verb tenses.
