Chapter 13: Babies

4 months later
December 1st 7am

Both Rebecca and Colby were wondering what to do for Christmas they knew that their family and friends wanted to come over to spend it with them

Both of Rebecca's parents were staying in the guest room so they could help her incase he wasn't home and it was near her due date and they knew that the due date was not the due date sometime and they stayed with them for a month and are still there

Colby went out cause he had to train some of the people at the wrestling school he had and to check up on the coffee shop

Rebecca was at home eating a tub of ice cream watching TV while her parents were watching on the same thing on the other side of the couch the suddenly Rebecca felt a sharp pain in her back and thought it was nothing

She went up to her room and laid down for a while then was walking down the stairs and started to make herself something for breakfast

Every hour she felt the same pain but didn't think nothing of it until she felt it every 40 minutes and knew it was contractions she called Charlotte so she could help her to within the next 20 minutes the blonde knocked on the door and Rebecca's mom answered the door

Within the 20 minutes it took for the blonde to get there Rebecca's contractions were now every 30 minutes Charlotte and Rebecca's mom told her they should head to the hospital just in case

Rebecca finally agreed to go to the hospital on the way there Charlotte called Colby to tell him that Rebecca was going into labor

Colby told the class that they would continue with his coworkers and that he wouldn't be able to teach them for a while and rushed out the door and got into his car and drove to the hospital it was a 45 minute drive

Rebecca was taken to a room and her contractions were becoming more closer they were every 15 minutes now and she wished that Colby was there with her

Colby came rushing in and told Rebecca's mom that he called his mom and she would be here so and asked what room she was in so he could be with her she told him what room she was in and he rushed that way and was stopped by the nurse that was by the door

Colby: it's ok I'm the father of the twins that are about to be born

And with that the nurse last him in and he rushed to her side and got worried but he had to stay calm other wise she would freak out on him

Colby: hey you ok?

Rebecca: yea just contractions she said and there was one after she said that and she screamed and it was more painful than before

He held her hand and they were now every 5 minutes and the nurse came in to check on her to see is she was doing ok after the nurse left the contractions stopped

The nurse then came back with the ultrasound machine about an hour later and hooked it up she told Rebecca that she wanted to check to she if the babies were in the right position for her to get them out and they were and they boy would be coming out first

The nurse asked if she wanted and epidural and she said yes the nurse left to go get the epidural and came back 10 minutes later with one she asked if she wanted it in her side or in her belly

Rebecca told the nurse that she wanted it on the side and the nurse told her to roll on her side so she could put the medication in her and after she let her inject the medication in her it worked after about 1 and a half later

The nurse and some doctors came in and told her that she was ready to push Colby held her had and stood behind the hospital bad and let the doctors do their job

Rebecca was ready to push and after about 2 and ½ minutes they heard one of the infants little cry and the nurses sucked the blood out of the baby's mouth and washed the baby off and waited for the other to be pushed out

The baby girl was pushed out and they did the same thing they did with the boy and sucked out the blood from the baby's mouth and then rinsed the blood off the baby and put her in a blanket

They handed Rebecca both of the babies and they told her she had to stay in the hospital for a while Colby looked at the little baby girl and was instantly wrapped around his finger like he knew that he had to protect his family before anything else and he saw her eyes and they were just like his they were dark brown and she had her mom's nose

Rebecca looked at both babies and then looked at Colby who was just looking at all three of them smiling she smiled at him and handed him the baby girl they had names picked out for the both of them and waited for the nurse to come back with birth certificates for the both of them

The girls name was Cora Quin Lopez and the boys name was Noah Nelson Lopez and they had a nurse take a picture of all of them together Colby and Rebecca were on the bed holding both babies and had big smiles on their faces

The next morning

Colby went home to grab a pair of clothes for each of them and grabbed the carseats and put them in the car when he got back to the hospital room he saw that Rebecca was gone and the babies were in the bassinet alone and noticed that they were sleeping and Becky came out of the bathroom with a towel on

Colby handed Rebecca her fresh pair of clothes and she changed into them in front of him and he stared at her and until she was done getting ready and she looked over at him to see him staring at her and she walked over to him and sat on him lap and lean down and kissed him

Later the babies started crying and Colby got Cora and bounced her lightly in his arms while Rebecca had Noah and sat on the bed and fed him

Then they switched off and Rebecca was feeding the girl and Colby was patting Noah on the back over his shoulder burping him

When she was done feeding Cora started burping her and then she put her to sleep while Colby did the same with Noah in his arms and they both put them in the bassinet

After they layed on the hospital bed together talking and laughing quietly and then Rebecca got tired and and snuggled into his chest with his arms wrapped around her shoulder and hers with her arms around his waist and fell asleep and he fell asleep a few minutes later
