I saw him slowly start to wake up and I remembered I had to wake up darryl.
I walked into our bedroom and as I was about to wake him up I saw something in his hand.

It was a picture of him and our son Aiden.
a tear slowly ran down my cheek and I quickly rubbed it away.
I didn't wanna cry and show weakness in front of my son.
I wanted him to know everything would be ok.
This picture was taken the day before the outbreak.
Little did we know it would be the last day we would smile like that.
"Baby" I heard Darryl Say and rub his eyes open.
I quickly put the picture in the duffel bag and zipped it up.
"We have to go it's getting rowdy outside I think a wave is coming in"
Darryl sat up in the bed and stood up slowly.
He kissed my forehead before walking to the end of the bed and putting on the clothes I sat out for him.
"Mommy" I heard Aiden say.
I turned around and saw him peeking in the room.
"What's wrong baby" I walked over to him and kneeled down in front of him.
"Grandma is outside" he rubbed his eyes and pointed to the window in the front of the house.
My heart stopped.
"Grandma is gone sweetheart" I gave him a weak smile and held his plump cheeks in my hands.
"No she isn't" he looked at me with his big brown eyes.
"Come on let's go see what's going on" Darryl said and walked out of the room towards the front of the house.
We all got to the front and I looked out the window.
There she was.
There was my mom.
My mom didn't make it.
My dad got bit trying to fight off zombies and my mom stayed in the house with him she refused to leave.
I knew this would happen. I couldn't cry not in front of aiden.
Darryl touched my shoulder and looked at me to make sure I was ok.
"Please just get it over with" I gave him a weak smile and turned around.
I picked up Aiden and carried him over to the couch and sat down.
I watched as Darryl grabbed his gun and walked out of the house.
"Everything is gonna be ok Aiden ok I promise" I said and kissed Aidens forehead
I put my hands over his ears and held him tight.
I heard the gunshot and a single tear ran down my face.
But I knew that wasn't my mom anymore.
Darryl walked back in the house and sat the gun down on the table.
"We need to go there are already a couple out there but there will definitely be more after that gunshot"
"Come on Aiden" I picked him up and we went to his room.
I sat him on the bed and put his coat and hat on him.
"Ready" Darryl said as he held our duffle bags in his hands.
"Yea babe" i said and picked up Aiden.
We counted down to 3 and ran out of the house. I quickly put Aiden in the backseat and ran to get in the passenger seat.
We put our seatbelts on and sped off.
20 minutes later.
"You good baby" Darryl said as we sped down the highway.
"Yea today has just been a little crazy" I said and looked down at my hands.
He grabbed my hand and held it tight.
"We here let's just get settled in and relax ok?"
"Ok baby" I smiled at him.
We pulled up outside our vacation house and put the car in the garage.
We figured it would be safest to come here because this place is a private home for vacations only.
It's far away from any harm.
We got all our bags into the house and then laid Aiden down to rest.
I walked into me and Darryl's room and laid beside him.
I slowly ran my hands up and down his back massaging it.
"You ok baby" I whispered in his ear and kissed his neck.
"Yea" he sat up and pulled me on his lap.
"I love you so much you know that" he said and looked deep into my eyes.
"I love you too" I held his face in my hands admiring his face.
I would often stare at his lips where his smile used to be.
He suddenly kissed me.
A kiss so deep you could drown.
I melted into his arms and we flipped over on the bed.
"We're gonna be ok" he said and looked me in the eyes.
"I know" I said and smiled at him.
He smiled at me before removing my shirt and kissing on my chest.
I softly moaned and smiled.
I missed his touch and everything about him.
He undid my bra and threw it across the room.
"Aiden sleep?" He asked before taking one of my breast into his hand
"Mhm" i said and watched his every move.
He licked on my chest all the way down to my jeans and undid my belt.
"I missed this" he said and smiled at me.
He pulled my jeans and panties off and threw them on the floor.
