chapter eleven .

( third person pov )

july fourth

the day started off for daniel quite odd.
something was off but he couldn't put his finger on it, it was as if everything that could go wrong did. his coffee machine had broken, all of his laundry was dirty, and his band mates were too busy with their spouses to spend time with him.

he had a feeling in his stomach, something was wrong. daniel brushed it off as karma from his conversation with ambrie, his mind still running rampant. he didn't want to believe what she had said, but it would be nice if maybe he and ambrie could've had a fresh start.

once settling down from the frustrations of today, daniel decided to take a break and stay home for the day. he was exhausted, he always was. it just wasn't worth getting out of bed anymore. he sat down on his sofa, grabbing the small remote control and powering on the tv. instead of his desired tv show, the hourly news was displayed brightly.

his remote had declined every click of the button to change the channel.

daniel was just about to shut the tv off until something caught his eye, the flashing banner displayed on the bottom of the screen which read,

' JUST IN, FATAL CAR CRASH ON I-95 . TWO UNIDENTIFIED BODYS BOTH REPORTED UNRESPONSIVE. ONE VICTIM RESPONSIVE. '

daniel, now intrigued by this unusual headline, looked for any sort of identifiable photos of the crash. he screened his eyes on the tv until a small box on the right corner popped up with a small photo of a demolished car.

one that was exactly like ambrie's. his heart immediately dropped. ' two teens. fatal crash ' was all that was running through his mind . daniel reaches for his phone to text ambrie to check up on the petite girl.

was that you and
your car ?

i know i've been

they're saying that
they've found
