There once was a town, quiet, dark, and foggy. It is peaceful now, but twas not like this long ago. That was a time where plague had swept the land. Many dying, becoming sick, and inept. Praying for death, but getting only pain. But that is not what frightened them most of all, no, no, no. The horror was not the plague, but the things it spawned. Legends tell of bird men, with wings of a nightmarish black, and beak faces of white. They would come in the night, take away the sick, leaving others in fright. But... Long ago that was. Now the Plague Doctors are gone. Or so we thought. We thought they would not harm, but we were wrong. They're back feasting on our souls, continuing their reign of terror. Now all are scared to roam at night. Now, when the sun falls, and the moon rises, men clad in black, with faces of white are said to walk the streets. Taking people away from homes, hospitals, it mattered not where they were, only that they were sick. A murder of crows cries out before they arrive, the sound of death approaching. The caw is the only way to tell if they come for you, but if you hear it, it's already too late. Now the crows die out, leaving only bodies to find. Soon, hamlets, villages, towns, and even cities become barren. Not a single man or woman remains. The only thing to even show what happened are the ravens with eyes the colour of blood that remain in the desecrated ruins. And some say, that during the night, you can still hear the march of doctors, as they circle around you. A single cry from a crow as you too are taken away, never to be heard from again. So run, hide, it matters not. For same as me, you too shall be taken away, gone, like a whisp in the wind
