Harry pulled out his wand, pointing it towards Snape.
"Well, you have a death wish don't you Snape. How dare you show yourself after killing the man who trusted you." said Harry, anger growing inside him.
Ron was backing Harry up.
"Yeah Snape, have a death wish?" He said, whipping his wand out.
Hermione felt her body move fast, immediately shielding him.
"Harry, don't. He may have done terrible things, but it doesn't mean killing him is the answer. Ask him what he's doing here. I'm sure he will be very honest to us." Hermione said to them.
Severus looked confused, why would Ms. Granger protect him? Especially after what he's done to her and her friends. He felt his heart begining to beat fast. Was he nervous? Why would he be? It's just Potter and Weasley, they aren't that threatening.
Ron and Harry put down their wands.
"How can you trust that he'll tell the truth?" asked Ron.
"If he was on You-Know-Who's side, he would have captured us and brought us to him by now. He's smart, he would have out smarted us I'm sure."
Hermione pulled a vial out of her beaded bag.
"Besides, I have Veritaserum. He will take it willingly. Won't you Professor Snape."
He nodded. Hermione walked up to him. Giving him the Vial. Severus took the vial, drinking it all. After a couple of minutes, they asked him questions.
"First things first, why are you here?" asked Ron.
"To get the Locket from R.A.B. It's a horcrux isn't it?"
"Why are you looking for it?" Ron continued to ask
"To destroy it of course." Snape replied.
Harry couldn't help but ask.
"Why did you kill Dumbledore, the man who trusted you?"
"Because he asked me to. He was dying and he knew that Draco was tasked to kill him. He didn't want blood on the boys hands, so he asked me to do it. I was against it of course, but I knew it was best."
"Dumbledore asked you, to kill him?" He asked, confused as to why.
"Yes."
"Whose side are you on Professor?"
"Harry's, though I was a double agent for years. Though, You-Know-Who found out. I have been on the run since."
Hermione was shocked. She knew he wasn't bad, but after him killing Dumbledore. She thought he was. She was thankful. She didn't know why, but her began pounding harder.
"So your after the Horcruxes too?" Hermione asked.
"Yes Ms. Granger."
"Please, call me Hermione. Your not our Professor Anymore, and your trying to find the Horcruxes like us. You should join us, you'd be a great asset. "
"What?!" said Ron and Harry in unison.
"Think about it." said Hermione.
"He could think like a Death Eater, help us find places they can't detect. Or at least not know where we are. He is good at spells, he made Sectumsempra. He is skilled."
Harry and Ron looked at each other, thinking it over.
"Alright, fine. But it doesn't mean I like it, or you. Got it?" said Harry.
"Perfectly clear Potter."
With that, Severus Snape was working with the Golden Trio.
