a (late) zimzalabim review ♪

so.

how do I start off-

this is the red velvet comeback we've all been waiting for, and we're all having mixed emotions.

some of us absolutely adore the song, while others placed it in the " wOrSt KpOp SonGs tO EvEr eXiSt " category.

now, you may be thinking, did she hate it or did she love it?

i, drumroll please-

LOVED IT!

to those of you who didn't like it, hear me out on this one.

when i watched the music video at 2 am in the morning, i was just about ready to doze off and go to sleep.

zimzalabim completely erased my will to get rest afterwards.

i didn't like the song on first listen, but isn't that what happens with most comebacks? or is it just me

anyways, i thought the song didn't feel put together and that it was like a million genres put into one.

after watching it a second time in the morning, i found myself mumbling the chorus throughout the day and my mom thought i was possessed or something.

the little breakdown with Wendy's high note at the end was the death of me but i came back to life to hear it and die again.

my friend video called me from florida telling me how much she loved the song, explaining how this was typical sm style.

sm style. yup that seemed right.

that super electronic all-over-the-place experimental sound.

anyways, i couldn't stop listening to zimzalabim for the next few days and it had become my alarm for waking up.

the girls looked absolutely stunning as always.. but some of their outfits weren't it.

what the actual heck was wendy wearing? mike wazowski looking-

the mv had a nice concept and i enjoyed it.

- i feel that sm could've done a little better on the styling
- but other than that, it was a great cb
- the ep is amazing
- listen to sunny side up for clear skin

- joy can dump her trash on me
- wendy can flush me down the toilet
