So I put on boots and walked out.

Everyone was already around talking, I spotted Sam and some other friendly faces.

I feel awkward and out of place, but if I don't show up then someone will come and drag me out. Probably Natasha.

I walked up to Thor and Tony, they were talking with Rhodey. "Well, you know, the suit can take the weight, right? So I take the tank, fly it right up to the General's palace, drop it at his feet, I'm like, "Boom! You looking for this?"

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. Tony and Thor stared at him blankly.

"Boom! Are you looking..." Why do I even talk to you guys? Everywhere else that story kills." Rhodey rolled his eyes.

"That's the whole story?" Thor didn't really care.

"Yeah, it's a War Machine story." Rhodey replied.

"Well, it's very good then." Thor laughed "It's impressive."

"Quality save. So, no Pepper? She's not coming?" Rhodey began to talk again but I decided to walk away to the bar, seeing Natasha.

"I think you're a little underage." She smirked.

"Haha so funny. Is there water?" I sat down and leaned against my palm.

She poured some water and sat it down in front of me. "Thank you."

I took a sip, yes thank god it's water and not some toxic alcoholic drink.

I looked up to where Dad was, him and Sam were talking.

Steve's POV

"Sounds like a hell of a fight, sorry I missed it." Sam spoke.

"If I had known it was going to be a firefight I absolutely would have called you." We walked up some stairs.

"No, I'm not actually sorry. I'm just trying to sound tough. I'm very happy chasing cold leads on our missing persons case. Avenging is your world. Your world is crazy." Sam smiled.

"Be it ever so humble."

"You find a place in Brooklyn yet?" Sam asked me.

"I don't think I can afford a place in Brooklyn." I scoffed.

Sam looked at Hazel. "How's she holding up?"

I sighed. "She hasn't been herself lately. She snuck out two days ago."

"Hazel? Snuck out?" He pointed at her. "Hazel knows when to listen and not listen...but sneaking out."

"To hang out with boys."

"With boys...of course." Sam took a sip of his drink.

Hazel's POV

"I fly it right up to the General's palace, I drop it at his feet, I'm like, "Boom! You looking for this?" Rhodey told the same story to a group and they all laughed. He had a proud look on his face.

I rolled my eyes and hopped off my seat.

Steve and Thor was talking to an elderly man. I walked up and nudged my dad. He put his arm around my shoulder. "You having fun?" He asked me.

I shrugged. "I'm the youngest one here."

"I gotta have some of that!" The elderly man pointed at what Thor was pouring.

"Oh, no, no, no. See this, this was aged for a thousand years, in the barrels built from the wreck of Brunhilde's fleet, it's not meant for mortal men." Thor poured the drink into a second glass and handed it to Dad.
