I think I’m really done with August, Karter didn’t want anything else to do with me because he said he felt like I was always hiding stuff and he swore up and down I was still messing with August. Chay, Maya and Kay are back and school is in full effect, it’s so much more than a job for me now. I love these girls and I do for them just lik I do for August and Aurmani.
“Ok, yal ready for school” I asked them
“Yes ma’am”
“Kay you’re goin to first grade, aren’t you excited”
“Yes ma’am”
August was gone on the road for a while, who knows how long. Mama Sheila was still here; she kept the twins while I took care of the girls and ran the shop. She was forever getting them mixed up, it wasn’t hard. Aug was chunkier than Mani, and Mani favored her daddy more.
“Ok yal have a great day, I love yal. See you this afternoon”

Bout time you go there, we have somebody waiting for a shape up. You know you’re the only one that can do a flawless shape up” one of the girls told me, I looked at the dude and motioned for him to come sit in my chair
“How you doing Monique” he asked
“I’m great Mr.?”
“Oh I aint no mister, I aint that old. Just call me Aidrian”
“Well how are you Aidrian?”
“I’m good”
“What brings you to a barbershop full of women to get a shape up, when its mad barbershops on damn near every corner outchea” I asked
“My barber outta town and I knew at least one of yal skilled with the clippers” he answered
“Ok, well I got you”
I finished his head, and did a few others. Today was kinda busy for it to only be Tuesday, I went to my car and Aidrian was still hangin around
“Hey, I didn’t do your hair right or something” I asked
“Yea, you did it right. You just didn’t give me your number”
“My number? How long your barber gone be outta town”
“Not long”
“Then you don’t need my number”
“I wanna get to know you, take you on a few dates you know. Til you become my girl”
I thought I should play hard to get, but Nah. He was defiantly no Aug, but what the hell. I took his phone and stored my number in
