"You go back to your room, I'll find it for you" Arizel ordered.

I walked back to my room. I sat on my bed waiting for Arizel to bring me back my key.

"I couldn't find it" Arizel rushed into the room and said.

"Won't I be able to talk to mommy, then." I asked.

"I don't know" She responded.

"Go back to sleep, we'll find it in the morning" Arizel tugged me in my bottom and said good night.

"Good night" I shouted as she shut the door.

I went up to the attic. I sat there next to the black box and called "mother"

"mommy, talk to me","where are you, mommy?" I wept alone.

Mommy didn't reply. I waited for a long time but the box remained silent.

"I want my key back" I yelled.

I climbed down from the attic and opened the door. The corridor was silent. I softly tip toed to Arizel's room. Arizel was fast asleep.

"Arizel" I whispered. "Arizel, wake up."

"What is it?" she sprung up and asked me in a dispirited voice.

"Find my key now." I walked close to her and said.

"I'll look for it in the morning" She said softly.

" No now, I want my key now" I yelled.

"Keep it low, come with me. We'll find your key" She literally trailed me around the kitchen.

We started searching for the key.

"Look over there," "That corner" She directed.

"There it is." Arizel pointed with her fingers.

"Yeah! Found it" I screamed.

"Go to your room and sleep" She responded angrily.

I ran to my room with the keys in my hand. I sat on my bed looking back at the key.

"Where can I fit this" I thought.

"The black box" it strikes in my brain.

I jumped up to my feet and ran to the loft. I sat near the black box.

I expected for a keyhole. But it was no where. I tried moving the box, but it was too heavy.

"Mommy" I called again.

"Delilah" a voice from the box replied.

"Mommy, how do I open this box?" I inquired curiously.

"Open the box with the key.","find the keyhole" she spoke calmly.

"Delilah, Delilah,.. Get down here right now" Arizel called from downstairs.

"You hear her didn't you" I questioned as I climbed down the stairs.

"Don't talk about this to anyone" she was frightened.

"Don't be afraid, it's just mommy" I soothed.

"That's not your mommy, Delilah" She inhaled deeply.

"That's mommy, she's trapped inside that box", I have to save her" I cried.

"You don't understand Delilah, she's already dead" Arizel I consoled me and took me in her arms.

"Never open that box" she whispered.
