Louis' POV -
It was supposed to be a nice evening with Claire. A joyful experience of limitless talks and kisses, that's what it was supposed to be like.
But it wasn't.
Hi, I'm Louis Tomlinson, a student of UCL. I'm in my sophomore year and until now, I really thought my life was perfect.
Only I found out today that most of my friends are fake and I caught my girlfriend, Claire, cheating on me. That too with my friend's boyfriend.
It all started with this stupid party.
-----------
"You know, it's so boring in here- who are you texting?" Claire asked giving me a weird look.
"Harry" I replied with a small smile.
"God Louis, I'm talking to you and you're texting.. that's so rude and Harry, he's coming right why is he even texting you?" she asked and I sighed.
I would never know why she dislikes my friends.
"Babe, he was just telling me that he'll be here soon, chill" I said and she rolled her eyes.
"Ya sure, I'll just go and 'chill' " she said quoting the word and moving away as I grabbed her wrist.
"Cherry.." I called, yeah that's her nickname, but she just rolled her eyes.
"Fine, wait here, gonna come back with a drink" she said.
"I can get it for-"
"No, it's fine really, be right back" she smiled as she pecked my lips and went into the crowd.
I was getting bored when I spotted the long brown hair which belonged to Sierra.
She was my lab partner and may I say, a pro at chemistry and thus I called her, "genius". We both were biology majors and she was in most of my classes.
"Hey genius" I grinned as she turned her head and smiled at me.
"Hi Louis" she replied politely. She was the nicest girl I've met here. She had that calm and quiet kind of aura. She was a bit nerdy too but in the smart way.
"What's up? You came alone? Where's Nick?" I asked instantly.
Nick, her boyfriend and a total opposite of her personality. He was a proper Jock. And, may I add never, ever calm. As far as I knew his only interests were Football and Sierra.
I had always wondered how they got along being such different personalities but never questioned it.
Because I clearly remember it took a whole two weeks for Sierra to talk to me. Like, really talk and not just saying hi and yes and putting an destructive end to the conversation.
"No, I came here with Nick.. he is just taking a call so.."
"Here you are.." I completed the sentence for her and she gave me a small smile.
"Yeah.." she said and my eyes went behind her. A guy was staring at us. And with that he whispered something to his friend standing beside him.
"Umm, do you want to go outside, it's kinda suffocating in here.."
"You're right but Nick will-"
"Text him, he won't mind" I said as I cut her off. Nick was a laid back guy and we were friends, he sure wouldn't mind it.
"Okay.." she said and followed me outside.
We reached a coffee table near the pool and sat on the chairs, the atmosphere was cooler and calmer here.
"So.. did you do your homework?" she asked and I smirked.
"Chem?" I asked and she nodded. "Yes genius, did you?" I asked back and she rolled her eyes.
"I thought that name was confined to greeting.. and yes I did my homework" she said playfully and I chuckled.
"It's not" I said and she chuckled. With that, I saw a couple of girls looking at us from a distance and whispering to each other.
I was getting annoyed by it now.
It was all so weird. Everyone at College knew that we're friends. What's with the whispering and those stupid looks.
"Louis? You okay?" she asked. Must have noticed me staring behind.
"Yeah, I can't remember this girl's name" I replied quickly so she doesn't look back and shrugged off the topic. "I'm going to call Cherry, she went to get a drink and taking so long" I said as I saw the notifications I had from Harry.
With that Harry Styles, my best friend and roommate rushed towards me and Sierra.
"There you are, I've been looking everywhere for you" he said breathing heavily.
"Whoa buddy slow down, what's the rush?" I asked and he rolled his eyes.
"You need to see something.." he said as his eyes traveled beside me. "You too actually.." he told Sierra and she sighed.
"Harry, can we see your stamp collection another time-"
"It's not, no.. It's not about my stamp collection, you both need to come with me alright, everything will be clear" he said seriously.
And, Harry and seriously never go together.
"It better be a good collection" I smirked and he glared at me before moving as we followed him through the crowd.
Soon, we were in the corridor and Sierra gave me a confused glance.
"Why are we near the bedrooms Harry, I'm not really liking these sounds"
"You can't just shut up right" he replied as he stood in front of a door and took deep breaths.
"You okay Harry?" Sierra asked.
"Definitely not" I remarked earning a glare from him.
"Look, I'm sorry Louis, Sierra but Nick and Claire are cheating on you" he said. He didn't give me time to comprehend those words as he opened the door the next moment, and I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Cherry.." I barely whispered. They were kissing, no, making out probably because both of them were only half dressed.
As soon as the door had opened, they both looked in our direction with horror written on their faces.
"Lou.." she said as she saw me, I could feel my heart breaking into a million pieces. I can't believe she's the same girl who was telling me that she loves me almost an hour ago.
"What the fuck Cherry.." I shook my head as I walked away, seeing Sierra turning around the corner as Nick ran past me.
"Louis I can explain.." she said and I sighed.
"I don't fucking want you to" I said as I walked ahead, not looking back at her.
