"Something that is common among autistics- we do not really know why- is making up words and using them in conversation well into adulthood. My autistic friends and I kind of have our own little language; when neurotypicals join the conversation we often have to explain to them what our made up words mean. We often hear "Are not you too old to make up languages?" as if we did it on purpose."-Autistic Things
