I walk down the isolated street dragging my feet along the cold ground. I feel rain slowly trickle onto my face colliding with my tears. I shiver slightly, it's 2am no one will notice me. "I-I'm just worthless, my family is dead, I watched a-and all I can do i-is cry." I mumble slightly shivering.

I will fight, I won't let this slip away, I will join the scouts and fight for humanity.

I sigh gazing up at the lonely dull streets. I shift my eyes over to the other side of the street. A boy who looks around my age, he is short bet yet I can still tell I am shorter, he has raven hair with a few strands on his face and his eyes are piercing grey, a sad grey.

'What is he doing out at 2am? Is he like me? No family.' I think as I feel his gaze shift towards me.

I decide to cross over and stand in front of him. Just watching him.

"Are you going to move or stand there like a blithering idiot." He hisses.

His voice is like venom, like a snake injecting poison into every inch of your body. I am lost for words so I stand there stuttering. 'Idiot. Idiot. Idiot.'

"Speak up brat." He hisses once agin.

"Are you lost? Where is your family?" I murmur softly.

"Tch I could say the same for you," he says looking up and down at me "and where is your family brat?"

"Th-they're d-dead." I whisper attempting to keep in my tears but I can't seem to help it.

I look up and he is just staring at me, his mouth slightly opens and there was something besides harsh and pain in his eyes. Guilt?

"Oh um," he murmurs biting his lip "do you have any where to stay?"

I shake my head, just then the visions re appear, my parents bodies being gnawed at, the house in ruins and I'm just left there useless, crying.

"Well you could come with me," he says rather softly "but don't think I'm being nice, no one would like sleeping on the streets."

There's the venom again. I nod shyly and follow him.

"Well hurry up brat we don't have all night." He snaps.

"Wh-whats your n-name?" I say shivering.

"Levi, and you?"

"(y-y/n)" I mumble shivering once agin.

"Stop shivering brat."

"S-sorry I'm cold." I say in attempt to stop shivering.

He sighs reluctantly placing his jacket over my shoulders. It smells rather clean like lemons and tea. I warm into it.

"T-thankyou."

"Still shivering? Jeez brat what do I have to do to make you stop." He hisses placing a hand over my shoulder pulling me into his chest.

The rain continues and Levi walks up to one of the houses on the street, they all look the same, two stories and thin. He hits the door causing it to squeak open. I walk inside feeling a little warmer. I look around not seeing a single speck of dirt anywhere.

"Don't know how you'll go in those filthy clothes brat, I'll get you something to change into." He says walking up the stairs before returning with a white shirt and black pants.

I suppose it's better than these bedraggled old clothes.

"Where do I-"

"In there just don't take long." He snaps rather quickly pointing to a door.

I nod walking in and shutting the door behind me. I give a sigh of a relief and change. I walk out and can't see Levi.

"Levi?" I murmur.

"What is it brat?"

"Where will I sleep?" I ask as I twiddle my thumbs.

"You can have my be-"

"No I can't do that!" I yell interrupting.

His eyes stare into my (e/c) orbs, "Tch whatever you can sleep in the living the room I'll get you some blankets."

I sit on the floor starring at the plain cream walls, it's been a while since I was in a home, it was a different feeling. I then feel a pillow hit my head and a blanket follows.

"What was that for!?" I snap.

"Tch." He says walking towards the door.

"L-Levi thankyou." I mutter.

"Tch, night brat."
