part16_Rain and Tears

Start from the beginning

She felt someone's presence because her body immediately displayed stiffness. She took deep breaths, so that cold breeze can sooth that burning in her lungs also but they were still blazing with each breath.

"Why you are here. It's cold and raining. You might be sick....!" She demanded, under her usually silky-smooth facade, her voice trembled. A breeze hit her like sharp ice. Her soaking wet clothes doing nothing helpful to keep her warm.

Waiting for few seconds patiently when she got no response at all. She turned around slowly, not expecting him to be standing so close to her. His tall figure towering over her so closely that she can feel warmth of his body. Nandni continued to look at him with attentive and searching eyes, as if trying to understand something which his mysterious eyes perhaps left untold.

Even he looked little shocked, may be not having idea that while walking slowly how close he have reached. His dark rapturing eyes kept arresting hers. Standing under his hypnotic gaze she felt her body on fire. She took a step back awkwardly as silence drifted amongst them.

He looked at her so intently that her heart started pounding hard and warmth invaded her neck. Her throat was painfully dry and she felt her chest empty.

"Go away...!" She glared at him. But instead of taking a step back He moved closer.

"Please I don't want to deal with this right now....!" She took a step back to keep the distance so that she can breath easily.

She just took a sharp step around to run away. That's when she was pulled back by her wrist and crashed against his chest.

"Please let me go....!" She struggled hard but to her disappointment he didn't. He was silent.

His other hand found its way around her stomach. Her icy cold palms she swiftly pressed on his hand, which was so warm against her stomach.

She didn't realise how cold her entire body was until it pressed hard against his chest. She tried a failed attempt to get herself free but no space was allowed to separate them. His other hand moved from her shoulder to her both hands, which were still grasping his on her stomach.

Manik hardly let her pull away to even breath. It felt so dangerous to be in his tight and incredibly strong arms. He leaned down, His warm breath fell on her ear. He lowered his face down, his lips touching her ear. Her heart was hammering so fast that she felt like she would be knocked down.

"So are you my wife....?" His question felt more warning than a statement. She shrunk her shoulders up when two days old bear felt so ticklish against her soft skin. Shiver ran through her whole body and she was sure about his smug look. Her shivering response definitely made his manly ego satisfied. She squirmed from his arms more forcefully, trying to break herself free.

"No. I'm not your wife. And let me go....!" She tried to speak more but couldn't find her voice. Rain was streaming down her face. She wanted to run away. She was trying to hide away. She needed space, to let her walls break down, inside of them she have buried herself years ago.

Suddenly her tears started making her eyes blurry. She couldn't handle herself any more. Her knees felt like jelly, her body stilled in his arms. She felt cold rain drops hit her face and washing away her tears. She wanted this pain to stop. She wanted to escape from these heavy feelings. When she couldn't stand the pain any longer, she broke down.

Hiding her face in her both palms she sobbed. Suddenly she felt his grip loosened around her and that was time, it became difficult to stand. She felt her legs wobbled, her knees buckled under her. She couldn't hold on any longer and fell on her knees. Wet grass doing nothing good with her already shivering cold body.

Manik didn't know what to say

Manik didn't know what to say. He remained totally helpless as she kept on crying. With a sinking heart he was looking at her who was still kneeling down, holding her head in her hands she cried her heart out.

He didn't like it. He didn't like her crying and the mere thought about himself to be the reason behind those tears, pissed him off. He wanted to do anything for her to stop crying, hold her and kiss away her every pain, only if she just allow him to enter those abandoned territories.
