You sat in the car looking out of the window holding the the small chain tightly in your hand. Your mother looked at you in the rear view mirror "we're here" she said and your eyes shot up, you were dazing off and hadn't even noticed the house from your childhood sitting in front of you, you saw a fimiliar lady standing on the porch waving.

You took a deep breath and looked at your mom "he's. In. There" was the only thought your mind registered as you unlocked the car door stepping out and felling your heart plummet "(Y/N)-AH" you heard in that eerily familiar voice as you waved to her, a fake smile planted on your face you ran to her giving her a hug. The hug felt like a "welcome home" and it caused you to almost tear up

Once she released you she looked over you , since he left you haven't been near the reminiscent house despite it only being down the street. The woman whom was like a second mother to you smiled "you've practically grown up on me" she said laughing and hugged you once more. You were so overwhelmed with conflicting emotions you wanted to cry but held back tears because you didn't want to be questioned or comforted, you wanted to attack this head on and with no emotion.

"Where is he" you spoke softly, hating yourself for the words that came out of your mouth. "Upstairs should I bring him down?" She said with an excited tone, she was comforting, it was obvious that she had noticed your anxiety. You began to think 'is it this noticible' "No I'll go to him if that's okay" you say trying to give her a reassuring smile. She smiled back warmly and pulled you in again whispering "welcome back" before sending you off and going to greet your mother.

You walked into the house down the long hallway and looked at the stairs, hesitating...... you could hear your heart beat in your ears as you took your first steps into the house from your childhood ,it just felt familiar it felt welcoming....... it felt like him. You approached his door and knocked softly hoping he was asleep, hoping he wouldn't answer and hoping he didn't want to see you but instead you heard
