Irrational Fears

Needles

Needles can be scary,

After all they do bite

The anticipation of the shot

Is enough to turn people white

They poke and I can truthfully say

I've never successfully been able to run away

From the injection that pierces the skin

With shots, there is no way to win

I'll admit sometimes I want to cry

When I see the needle I feel I'm gonna die

But I guess it's helpful

After all it keeps me alive
