A lady from England

It has been two days since i come to this world. I don't know how it become like this, is there something like fantasy or parallel world? Nonsense, well I didn't trust the fact until myself experienced it. Back when I was still in my world, I went back from the graduation party for my seniors. The party is an evening party where you will socialized and dance with your partner. It was similar to an evening party which aristocrat held except there are no alcohol, obviously because it was a graduation party for middle and senior high school students. It was late at night when I went back from the party, I was along with a driver got an accident on our way back. It seemed that the cause of the accident was a drunk truck's driver drove the truck recklessly. Although the driver in our car tried to eschewed, yet our car falling into the cliff that was not really deep. I lost consciousness, but when I woke up, there I was, woke up in another world.

Right now, I stay at the village near the wood from when I first woke up in this world. It was not easy to go inside this village because the villagers seemed suspicious about me. Actually they reluctant to let me, a stranger enter their village, but with a lot of effort that I did, they let me stay in this place for a while. I also searched for information about this world. Just as I thought before, this world like medieval age in Europe where the social status hierarchy system applies in here. There are royals, aristocrats, knights and commoners also the development in this world about education and technology is still low like in 14th century in Europe. People who get education only royals and nobles while commoner live like an idiot who can not even read except for the merchant and the village chief. At least, they know how to use money in daily life.

From the information that I got from the villagers, this village is a part of Aitheria Kingdom and is a part of Baltimore Territory which is ruled by a nobles from Baltimore Family, a household with the title of Marquess. The currency in this world use coins which includes gold coin, silver coin, bronze coin and copper coin. One copper coin is the same as one penny, one bronze coin is the same with one pound, one silver coin is the same as 10 pound and one gold coin is the same as 100 pound. It is easy to remember. Not to forget about the laguage in this world which is the same as English in The Earth. I don't have to worry about how I will communicate with this world's citizen.

"Anna, can you come here for a while?" I turned my head to see that the village chief was calling me. I stand up and walk to his way. 

"Yes?"

"Uhm..." The Chief village seems reluctant to speak what's on his mind. Well, i probably know what he wants to say. 

"I understand."

He surprised, but finally let out a sigh. 

"Yes, as you know you should leave this village soon. It is not like we don't want you to be here, it's just... in this world nothing is free, and we have let you live in this village for two days. We will not charge you anything because you also have nothing to give. You can't even help the women to do chores, grow corps and herd the livestock." I smiled bitterly to heard his comment. I apologize if I can't do that so called manual works like that since I was a young lady from a prestigious family. Back in United Kingdom, our house has servants to do the chores. 

 "As you wish sir. I will leave tomorrow."

 The day has come for me to leave this village. I look at my mobile phone which is brought to this world along with me. Now it is useless because it was run out off battery. My biggest problem right now is how can I survive in this world. I don't have money nor connection. I have two clothes that the villagers gave it to me also my own dress and my own necklace for the better or worse, I can sell my necklace to earn some money. As I walk around the village to say goodbye to the villagers who kind to me, I heard screams from the entrance of the village. 

"Please, spare our life!" I run to the source of screams and I froze to see what happened. There are a group of bandit consist of five people. They beats the villagers, kidnaps the children and women and destroys the village. Although the men in the village tried to defend this place, they are no match for bandits who always do this violence-kind of things. I can't just stand up and do nothing while the villagers needs help. Although i know how to use sword and martial art, I am just a girl. While i am in a dilemma, I glance toward the store room beside me. There are two long swords. I am not the type of people who like to meddle to others. Still, just this once. 

 "How unsightly of you to hurt people who doesn't even bring a weapon. Such a coward behavior." I said that as I walk toward them while hiding two swords behind my back. Honestly, I felt really nervous and though I was crazy to do this. Then the bandit looked in my way and smirked.

"Heh, little girl, what kind of talk did you just said?" said one of the bandit. 

 "Hoo... You're quite beautiful for such a commoner village girl. Come here, we don't want to harm you. You can be sold to the aristocracy for high price. If you are lucky you can become the second or third wife though. Heh he," said the other bandit as he laughed vigorously. I felt disgust with his answer. 

 "So you said that your job is seizes and sells human to slavery or aristocracy." I continued my speaking and glared at them coldly "Your degree is much lower than a dog." They looked furious to hear my statement, but I can't hold back now. 

As I saw them tried to approached me, I took out two swords that previously hid behind my back. When they saw that, they laughed as if I am just bluffing. Without wasting the opportunity, I immediately attacked them as if a fencing athlete attacked. I did not forget to take advantage of taekwondo skills that I learned since I was a child and I did kick them with backward twist to the opponent's neck. As I saw them collapsed on the ground, I was pleased. Well, in this world there are no laws towards commoner. Even if you killed villagers, bandits or people who doesn't have any status or authority that's alright. 

 "Let's ... get rid of the trash." I said that line with a smile. It didn't take a long time to get rid of them. I don't kill them but I warned them like, "If you set foot in this place again...." 

 "Yes!!!" answer them immediately although I did not even complete my sentence. They ran away and all of the villagers gave me their gratitude. I did demand them to give me two swords, small sum of money and information about the nearest city in from this village. Without any arguments, they accepted my proposal. That was how I got my first money in this world. That's good, I think I can survive for few days until I got a job. I don't know what kind of job that I will applied, but as long as it is not manual labor I think it's fine. 

 "This will be my new journey. I look forward for the better future," I said it with a slight smile on my face. I am the former Annabeth Alexandra Ardeen. A young lady from England will survive in this world with her own strength.
