Arthur was working on breakfast for his mother, when a letter slid into the house near the kitchen as he was cooking. Arthur went over and scooped up the light blue envelope, opening to get at the letter inside, upon reading it he gently placed it on the table to go continue what he had been interrupted.

Later in the evening he sat down and took the time to write back:

Dear Alfred,

I am glad to hear you'd like to be friends, I'll tell you some about me. I live in London, England which happens to be a nice place if you look past the foggy, rain coated aura. I would enjoy becoming friends with you if that's what you really wish. I love the colour green, as I think I can tell you love Blue

- Sincerely, Arthur K

Arthur neatly folded and placed the letter into an envelope, getting up to go to his mail box, as to seeing it wasn't raining for once. He pushed the letter into the mail box and went back inside, making sure he was ready for the rest of the day

~Alfred~

A year at most had passed, Alfred worked busily, next to his mother and brother Matthew putting the family clothes on a drying line. Alfred dramatically whined and tossed a pair of Matt's boxers at his face and snorted loudly at the younger's expression, Matt relaxed when Alfred told him it was Matthew's. "Can you boys stop horsing around? 'Should put you in the barn with the horses" their mother calmly said

Alfred and Matthew looked at each other before getting back to work "aw shucks, Matt can you do my share while I get the mail?" Alfred asked hearing the rough hum of the mailman slowly approaching

"No"

"But Matt! Why?"

"You'll come back from writing your Pen-Pal and I'll have already done both our shares"

Matthew had a point but Alfred begged "PLEEEEEASE?"

"Okay... Just this once! Again..." Matthew muttered the last part while Alfred gleefully left him there to get a message from a certain Brit

He took the letter inside and cut it open with a letter opener, reading very delicately written and signed words. Smiled at the very short but pristine letter, getting his phone and entering a new contact; Arthur.

He had waited for some time, and finally Arthur had saved up for a phone, his parents told him he had to work for it himself but he did it. Immediately he texts Arthur:

> "Hey this is Alfred! How r u?" A few minutes of waiting...

< "Sorry about responding late, I just woke up, it's morning over here. Also I'm feeling tired still I suppose"

> "Idc I'm happy I can talk 2 u faster"

< "Defiantly American with your bloody internet slang"

> "It's fstr thn typin out an entire sentence"

< "Faster* Than* Typing*"

> "Ok, Ok I'll stop, gtg" Alfred stuffed the letter and his phone into his pocket before running back outside

~Arthur~

He chuckled and slipped out of bed going to take a quick shower, before dressing in comfortable striped grey pants and a dark green T-shirt, not bothering with the taming of his wild morning hair. Arthur stepped out into the small balcony of his parent's apartment and traced the strong wood's fine patterns, he dusted of the early rain drops and rested his arms, looking out at the busy London streets. He took a sharp intake and breathed out calmly with a small smile upon his lips, a short but loud beep sounded from his pocket. He fished out the phone from his pocket
