"Louis!"
Panicked I flashed my neck to her horrified figure as soon as I heard her scream my name. Millions of assumptions roamed inside my mind considering the circumstances we were in. It was pitch black and I was in the battery house replacing the melted snake like wires.
"What happened?" wide wild eyes of mine searching for any harm at her. Painfully slowly her head moved up exposing her white face. Her jade eyes trembling, further sending me shivers.
Sudden adrenaline rushed in my once calmed nerves and I jumped from the top of ladder not caring the height or any damage, only with one thought- Protect her.
I grabbed her slender shoulders examining what was wrong. She was really short before me, barely reaching my chest. Leaning my back I cupped her face, my brows frowned, "What's wrong?"
Her pursed lips now relaxed and slightly curled up in satisfaction, like she had won something.
"Fuck you" there was anger dipping from my voice . My heart was still hammering inside my chest impacting my diaphragm through strange ache.
Peaking her tongue to me she laughed, "You are such a chicken."
Her eyes were watery from the effect of how hysteric and crazy her laugh was. Her stomach must be hurting which I expected when she hold it and threw back her head. When she laughs there's no stop to it, but I was still agitated and anxious after her prank.
"Louis, I was kidding. Come here."
I couldn't even reply when she pulled me down from my collar and kissed me. For a five-three she got some strength that I would say she must have had some blood of Titans.
Entangling my fingers with hers she pulled away and looked deep into my eyes, both of us panting. As much as she knew how to annoy me she also knew how to make me smile again. Just a kiss and there I was- grinning with her.
However trust is the biggest aspect of a relationship. None of us cheated and we were bounded by the strong thread of relation yet it ended like this.
She tried to leave me.
Why? Loyalty was out of question, my heart was hers then why?
I gently caressed her cheeks afraid to burn her bruise.
"Wake up Darina." I cooed softly, stroking her forehead when she flinched. Her skin turned to ugly purple and black. Taking wet slimy salve in my fingers I rubbed it over her colored skin with feather like touch. She was staring into me with puffy red eyes which seemed that they didn't close for years.
"It's okay love. It's me." I tried to reassure her, brushing away the wet sweaty hair strand from her face. She winced as soon as I came closer to her face.
"I know it's a mess. But everything will be like before. I will stick to you forever." whispering close to her ear I pecked her salty cheek.
Sliding arms around her shoulder and under her knees I picked her up, pressing her head against my chest. Even though she was wrapped by metal shaded binds she was moving more than I expected, fidgeting her light body all around.
"Aww.. you are afraid to be lifted by me. It's okay Darina, you are not heavy." I spoke and put her on our bed like every night I did and licked her tears way. All her movements stunned and her whole body went numb. Her eyes followed my face. She wanted me as much as I did.I knew it. But one thing was strange about her. Her eyes still showed fear.
