Chapter 1. (Landing In Seoul)

12 Hours & 30 minutes later I'm finally here in Seoul. I can't stand flying there's something about the thought of being so high in the sky with the anxious wait of landing that doesn't sit right with me but finally I am here, there's only one thing I want a nice hot shower (sigh).

So let's get you up to date I was living in the UK a place I was born raised and well always wanted to escape from don't get me wrong I'm proud of my British/ Jamaican heritage and England will always be home but I always knew traveling and working abroad, learning a new culture and meeting new people was something I always craved to do so how did I get here ?

"You're leaving" A sad but reassuring voice as I looked up I saw my closest work friend peering at me behind her glasses with her red hair and daring shaved undercut that she suited so well "I know I'm sorry" I said trying to mask my tears "I'm going to miss you so much" looking at her sincerely she had been so welcoming even before I began having the pleasure of working with her she took me under her wing when I did placement and was still getting to know the ropes of career guidance. "I know I'll miss you too" she said "but you have grown so much as an individual & professional I hope South Korea know how lucky they are to have you" I looked at her seeing her well up like this hurt so bad but I know no matter what we will stay in touch & I will never forget the support Janie has given me, I reached out for her giving her my most sincere hug I could offer I know it wasn't much but I hope it could show her how I appreciate her & how much I'll miss her. We let go reluctantly "so are you ready & packed" she spoke wiping her tears hoping I wouldn't notice I sniffled and wiped mine "almost you know I'm always ahead of myself haha". "How could I forget Sasha you are always ready for your next task" that's a smile I won't forget.

I was ready for a fresh start in my life & career, There was nothing left for me in the uk so I took the risk one day uploaded my cv applied to South Korean employer websites & to my disbelief one day in my favourite coffee shop I got an exciting email from Mr Shin offering me a position in South Korea's capital Seoul. The squeal I let out whilst enjoying my mocha was evidence enough for my excitement.
