"Oh my God."

May's knees buckled but Peter caught her arms and held her up, hugging her when she started sobbing.

"It's okay, I'm okay, May," he said softly, rubbing her back and pressing a kiss to her forehead while she panicked a little, clinging to him and then holding his face like she was checking if he was really there. "I'm okay, promise."

It didn't seem to fully hit you that he was really back until you saw him with his aunt again, the sight making you start to feel a little emotional. You tried to wipe a thumb under your eyes without him noticing, but Peter gave you a sad smile.

"C'mere, sweetheart," he held an arm out and you joined the hug, May still crying but laughing through the tears as you all hugged each other. Peter held you both tight, his voice wavering a little, "My girls."

May didn't let go of him the whole day, always having a hand on him in some way, almost like she was reassuring herself that he was still here and wasn't going anywhere. A hand on his shoulder, patting his cheek, running through his hair and complaining about how he needed a shower.

It was hard to tell her what happened - you couldn't believe that only two days ago, you were sitting in her apartment with her, having a normal dinner. Now, half the universe was back, but two very important people were gone.

May knew how close you had gotten to Tony, and especially to Nat, and it was hard for her to watch you break down when you told her they were gone.

But this time was different. Peter held your hand while you mourned them, and he had tears in his eyes at the thought of Tony being gone, too. The last time you were crying over someone's death, you only had May.

Which reminded you that everyone else would be back, too.

"Oh my God, my parents," you clasped your hands over your mouth, looking to Peter, "I-I have to-"

"Go," he gave you a little smile, the sight just making you want to stay even more, "I'll be here when you get back. Promise."

You wanted to ask him to come with you, but you doubted that would be a good idea - May needed him. You had had several hours with him when he came back, but she only had minutes since you had stumbled to her apartment, and you knew they needed time.

"Okay," you gave him a quick peck, giving May a hug and promising to come back, before hurrying out the door.

It was easy to forget that everyone was back - you had no calls from your parents or Ned or MJ. Of course, that was probably because your phone number had changed in the last two years. And your parents were probably freaking out - you had kept your apartment with help from Tony, but the last few months you had been in the process of clearing it out to sell. It was empty, and your parents had reappeared to nothing in the house and no you.

But you hoped they had the sense to at least stay there, so you didn't have to try and track them down around New York.

And for once luck was on your side when you burst into your old house and saw your parents sitting on the empty floor in the living room, phones in hand and frantic expressions on their faces.
