"What's this about Bradley?" Irina handed her phone to him. A plain expression across her face. He could see it was a news article or something.

"Director Bradley Cooper and Pop sensation Lady Gaga, said to be extremely close. A close insider suggests there's much more going on then what meets the eye." He read over the headline again.

"You know not to believe this kinda stuff." He handed it back to her. Picking up his own phone again.

"That's it? You're not even mad someone made something up about you? What if it's true, what if an insider really said something?"

"Irina, I've learned to not leave media headlines affect me, you should too."

"Bradley, do I have something to be worried about?"

"What would make you think that?" He couldn't look her in the eyes. Feeling a slight pang of guilt overcome his emotions. Irina was cold, and distant, and quite frankly was the one who drove him away from her. But of course, straight up lying to his girlfriends face was hard. He tried justifying it in his head. It's only been going on a few days. But he knows that's not true. They might only have been physically together a few days, but they're been unfaithful to their partners, since the day they sat down and sang midnight special together the first time they met.

"I don't know, she's an attractive woman. Who we both know, is very fond of you. And don't try tell me if she tried something with you, you'd decline. Because we both know, that's not true."

"Where's all this coming from? An article someone made up for a few bucks?"

"This conversation is well overdue Bradley, don't you think?" She stood against the island, her arms crossed, as he sat on the stool.

"What exactly do you want me to say?"

"Something. Anything. You come home late every night, you drop everything when she needs you, you smell like what I'm presuming is her perfume, because it's been a long time since I smelt mine from you. Pap pictures of you in her trailer late at night. The movie isn't even out yet, and there's hundreds of stories, with rather compelling evidence. Individually they're small things, that don't matter. But added up Bradley, it gives off the wrong impression. Not just to me. But clearly everyone." She sighed holding her phone up. The headline still across the screen.

"We work together Irina. Very closely. You know that. Making a movie isn't easy, it isn't a process that can be rushed, and it certainly isn't a process that can be done with someone you don't get along with or admire. Late nights are part of the job. Being in her trailer discussing scenes and going over lines is part of the job." He felt worse, making her feel like she was the one in the wrong. He knew it was so wrong of him. She just continued to stare at him.

"Are you attracted to her?" She stood more stiffly. Unsure herself why she even asked that question, because she knew she wouldn't get the answer she hoped for. "And tell the truth."

He sighed. "She's an attractive woman. That's not wrong to point out. You're an attractive woman. Every woman is attractive in their own way. It's not wrong to acknowledge that. The same way you would be able to point out an attractive man." He was making it worse.

"Answer the question Bradley."

"If you ask any man that question about her. They're all going to say yes. That's not a crime."

She sighed shaking her head. She would have preferred him to just lie to him instead. Just say no. Move on.

"You spend all that time with someone you're clearly so attracted to that, you can't even lie to your girlfriend and say you're not, to assure her. Not to mention, how obviously attracted she is to you."
