Chapter 15 Collateral Damage

She scooped me up in her arms.
"Hailey, listen to me.
He's alive.
Hailey are you hearing me?
He's alive."
Alive? Of course he's alive.
This was all a sick joke.
"Hailey, he passed out on stage.
He hit his head.
Something went wrong, but they got him back. Ok...he's gonna be ok..."

What the fuck did she just say?
She's a fucking liar too.
I tried to push her off of me.
She wouldn't let go.
They got him back?
From where?
Where did he go?
Something went wrong?
He's alive.
But he wasn't?
I don't know what came over me, but I began to pound my hands into her chest.
"Take it back Kenny!
I don't believe you!
What the fuck is happening?"

"Hailey please. I'm sorry. Hailey,I'm not letting go. Please Hails."

I could hear Kendall crying.
I felt bad for her.
Is this what it's like to go into shock?
I could hear someone screaming his name.
A guttural sobbing.
They wouldn't stop.
Over and over again.
"JUSTIN JUSTIN JUSTIN JUSTIN JUSTIN. "
I realized it was me.
Justin's heart had stopped.
They got him back.
He's alive.
I blacked out after that.

Pattie (Justin's Mom) POV:
"PATTIE! It's Scooter. It's Justin."
Scooter seemed panicked.
My heart dropped.
"Scooter, what happened? Is Justin ok?"
He was hysterical. I could hear him crying.
"Pattie, I'm sorry. I didn't realize he was still sick. Pattie it's bad. He passed out on stage. He hit his head. He had a seizure.
He wasn't breathing Pattie!
His heart stopped.
They got him back.
He's alive.
He's being transported to the hospital right now.
I'm on my way there."
I don't know how I remained upright.
Scooter had just ripped my heart from my chest with the words he spoke.
I just knew I needed to get to my baby boy.
I needed him to survive.
"Scooter get me a flight right now.
And get to that hospital.
You make sure my boy keeps breathing and that his heart keeps beating.
Don't you let him die on me,Scooter!"
I was sobbing now, as I grabbed my shoes and keys.
I needed to get there now!
"Pattie, I promise.
I won't let him go.
I promise you.
I have a plane ready.
There's a car waiting outside for you."

"What about Hailey? He would want her there?"

"Kendall Jenner is on her way to Hailey's in NYC, I have a plane ready for her too.
Justin needs his girl's.
I'm just getting to the hospital.
I'll update you as soon as I know more."

"Scooter, don't let my boy be alone.
Tell him I love him. Tell him I'm coming."

"I will. I promise you. He's going to be ok."
I boarded the plane alone.
I felt so lost.
I hadn't even called Jeremy.
I dialed his number in a daze.....

Hailey's POV:
I woke up in my Daddy's arms.
We were in a plane.
I looked out and realized we were up in the air.
Kendall was curled up and asleep across from us.
My daddy kept stroking my hair.
I knew then that it wasn't a bad dream.
My heart began to shatter again.
I could physically feel it breaking apart.
The tears were soaking my daddy's chest.
"Is he ok daddy?"
If I lost Justin, I knew I didn't want to live.
How can I live in a world without him?
It wasn't possible.
"Baby girl,he's stable.
Scooter called an hour ago.
We'll know more when we land.
We still have a couple of hours.
Try to rest."
