Mackenna's POV

"Kenny, hurry the fuck up," Cadwell groaned when I swallowed the last piece of bread.

"Dude, no pressure, I didn't worry you when you were eating." I countered picking up my plate. I went into the kitchen to find Mom washing the dishes and I placed in mine and just as I was about to wash it-

"Kenny!" He yelled again.

"Dear hurry up, you know how impatient your brother is." She said and I hugged her and walked out of the kitchen.

I got my school bag, slung in my arms and followed my brother into the car. I sat at the passengers seat whiles he sat at the driving seat and drove.

I took out my phone and played a few games whiles we drove in comfortable silence.

***
"Bye Cadwell." I said went on my tiptoes and pecked his cheeks.

"Just stay away from boys understand? " He instructed again framing my face. As you have guessed, my brother was over protective and also a twin to my elder sister.

It was my first day in Eden High, and Cadwell insisted on dropping me off, because he wanted to give me serious instructions about boys.

"Yeah yeah whatever." I deadpaned.

"Kenny I'm fucking serious." He countered narrowing his eyes at me. He then hugged me and kissed my hair.

He finally left and I strolled down the hallway to my fist class. I opened the classroom door and the wind brushed my face. After my introduction, I sat down on an empty seat.

"Miss Pamela Lucas, come make your presentation." The teacher said. I looked over my shoulder to the person and I looked at her in awe.

Pulled into a neat bun was her reddish orange hair, along with her blue sharp eyes shining under glasses and she came to stand in front of us.

When she started to make her presentation, I nearly gaped at her. Like what? The girl looked like Merida in Brave but she didn't have her character.

She seemed nervous and timid to but nonetheless, she was smart and dead gorgeous. She finnished off and sat by me.

"Hi, I'm Mackenna." I chirped and she gave me a nervous smile.

"Hi, Mackenna, I'm-"

"Pamela? I know."

***

So I became friends with Pamela and her other friend, Angela, two amazing girls. After lunch they showed me around, we went our separate ways and I went down the stairs and bumped into a tall masculine figure.

"Oh God." I muttered holding my head but the guy was holding my upper arms.

I opened my eyes only to sink them into intoxicating blue ones which had bushy eyebrows perfectly shaped above them and those features wee arranged on an incredibly hot face.

Angelo.

I knew his name because he was the guy I was gawking at and Angela told me his name during lunch.

"Hey, watch where you're going Barbie." He said smirking at me.

"I bet you don't have eyes too." I replied trying to wriggle out of his hold.

"Feisty much? "He asked looking down at me.

"Even worse." I said. "Let me go!" I demanded when  he was still holding me.

"Shit! I'm sorry." He apologised and let go of me."You're arms are just so soft." He countered.

"Just stay away from me." I warned and turned to leave but he whirled me around and made me face him.

I frowned at him and he held up my arm and examined it. His initial hold left a few red strokes on my arm and I didn't even realise it.

"I'm really sorry." He apologised again massaging my arm.

"Stop what you're doing." I scowled at him.

"Don't frown, it's not good for someone pretty like you." He said and I scoffed and finally I turned to leave. But when I turned to leave, I felt his presence behind me.

Why is he following me?

"Where are you going?" I groaned.

"I'm going to class of course, I have Home Economics." He informed and I realized we're in the same class. While we walked I felt his scanning my back and I felt a bit conscious.

Thanks to Angelo I was late so I moved and sat by Pamela.

"Hey." I chirped and noticed herr eyes were puffy."Why were you crying? " I asked.

"Oh No, I wasn't cryin." She lied. I couldn't interrogate her further because the teacher came in and gave out some announcements.

***

"And damn...He was hot!" I told my elder sister, Cadwella.

"Lower you tone, do you want Cadwell to hear us?" She asked and I gasped.

"Hear what?" My brothers' deep voice asked and our head snapped at his direction where he was leaning on the door frame.

"N..Nothing." I lied laughing.

He entered and flopped into my bed, crossed his long legs and faced the two of us.

"Nothing? Then tell me about your first day in school." He demanded and I gulped,

Before I could talk," Who was the fist boy that approached you?" He asked.

"Jeez Cad, let her relax." Cadwella said.

"Shut up Cada." He ordered. Cadwell wasn't really rude, he just had a short temper and his overprotectiveness was unbearable. He faced me and gave me a serious look.

"Well there was this ho- I mean guy I bumped into." I began.

"And? Did he touch you? Did he try to flirt you? Did he annoy you? What's his name? How does he look like? Does he-"

"Bro what the hell?! Why are bombering me with questions? Ugh!" I complained and he ran his fingers through his hair.

"Listen Kenny, you're my little sister and I really care about you and I don't won't any worthless guy to take you for granted." He explained.

'Kids, come down for dinner!" Mom yelled from downstairs and we hurriedly left my room. We took our seats and started eating our food.

"Macky dear." Mom called and I looked at her. Well yeah, everyone had a way of calling me.

Dad called me Manna, Cadwell called me Kenny, mom called me Macky and Cadwella called me Kenn.

"Yes mom?" I replied

"How was your fist day?" Dad asked before she could.

"It was good. I met a new smart kid called Pamela and her friend, Angela. I do hate the periods but I love some of the teachers." I narrated.

"What about guys?" Mom grinned and Cadwell nearly choked on his food.

"I have warned her not to go near boys. " He growled

"Come on Cadwell, even I'm not that overprotective." Dad countered.

"Well you should be." He muttered and Cadwella shook her head. Silence prevailed till dinner was over and I and Cada took the plates into the kitchen to get them washed,

"Ugh! Cadwell is so annoying. " I groaned."So am I gonna be single till I marry?" I sighed,

"I know right? That was how he was to me when we were in high school." She sighed. "But it really helped me, because I had a boyfriend who broke my heart and when Cad found out, he beat up the boy. " She ranted.

After chatting and washing, we finished and I went into my room and plopped into my bed. Angelo and I were in the same group for the practicals tomorrow and I felt a bit nervous but the thought of my brother made me more cautious.

I sighed and closed my eyes and allowed sleep to come for me.
