6. Surrounded
Corey and Hex wouldn’t stop fighting. Every time they saw each other they started fighting, I sat at the kitchen table with a book in my hands. I had only begun reading it when Hex walked into the kitchen.
“Wow its quiet,” I said sarcastically.
“I know,” Hex replied.
“I’m surprised you haven’t run out of things to fight about.”
“I’ll find more stuff.”
“It’s only been two days and I have heard you call each other every name under the sun.”
“Well prepare for more. Hey tonight I want to look at the old mine, do you wanna come with?”
“Sure.”
“Can I come?” Corey asked.
“No way,” Hex replied.
“Hex he may be able to help us,” I said.
“If he must,” Hex grumbled.
I left the kitchen because knew that a fight was about to break out. I went to my room and someone followed me, I heard my door lock.
“Hex it wouldn’t hurt you to be nice to Corey,” I said.
“Sorry to disappoint you,” Corey said.
I turned around to see him standing right behind me.
“She will go ape when she can’t get to me,” I said.
Corey shrugged his shoulders, “let her get mad.”
“What do you want?” I asked.
“I just want to talk about tonight’s plan,” Corey replied.
“You want to know why we are going to the mine.” I knew that’s what he wanted to know.
“Yeah.”
“You know how Hex told us about Luke going to the mine.”
