"You good?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm okay."

"Feel free to explore new things, the script is just a script, you wanna add something, add it. Just go with how you think this scene would go."

"Okay. I'll try." She laughed nervously. She always found these vulnerable simple scenes the hardest, just because she felt it.

"Stef, you're so talented, whatever you choose to do will be more than I ever imagined. Remember that. This is what you do. You're Ally, no one else, no one knows her better than you do."

"Thanks, I needed to hear that." She nodded. As she sat herself down on the pavement, taking one more look at the script.

"Whenever you're ready Stef." He made his way over to the camera crew given them some last pieces of notes.

They began the scene and Bradley immediately loved the direction she took with it. Given Ally a softer, more vulnerable approach to Jack. The little giggles and phrases, given a new light to the Ally the audience has seen up until now.

Stefani was lost in character until suddenly Bradley had her finger in his mouth, to take off Ally's ring on her swollen hand. She loved that he thought of that. It was so real: and flowing. She ignored the butterflies she felt, when he sucked the ring off.

"Don't change the subject." She whispered as Ally softly.

"Is that what I'm doing?"

"Nobody ever asks you about you huh?" She said in the same loving voice. Them both improvising this scene.

Everyone around them were almost speechless. Just watching the pair do what they do was such a beautiful and raw thing to see. How real it felt. It was a tear jerking kind of experience.

Then she started singing. Quietly sitting down next to him. That wasn't planned. The original plan was for her to talk about the song. But she decided to sing it.

"Tell me something boy.."

She looked at him. Examining his face.

"Aren't you tired trying to fill that void.

or do you need more...ain't it hard keeping it so hardcore."

She looked ahead of her now.

"I'm... fall.... ing....."

She stood up. Standing in front of him now. She wasn't even thinking. She just let her voice and body do what it was doing.

"I was working on a chorus, that might go well ... let me just think." She pulled a thinking face. Bradley trying his best to stay in character, because this was too perfect not to use.

"I'm off the deep end..." She raised her hands out at each side of her. ".. watch as I dive in, I'll never meet the ground.."

Bradley just stared up at her. Well Jackson. Mesmerised.

"Crash through the surface, where they can't hurt us.. we're far from the shallow.. nooo—ooowwww."

"Holy shit."

She giggled. Holding up her hand with the frozen peas taped to it. "What is this.. is this supposed to help me." As she sat back down next to him.

He loved that she chose to change the subject immediately. Because it showed Ally's lack of confidence, and self belief. It was just so perfect. He loved telling Stefani, not to be afraid to run off from script. Because that's when she surprised him the most.
