it was early one morning.

she didn't think anyone would be awake, much less watching her at that hour. but as she looked up, she caught a glint of gold in the corner of her eye. the green-haired girl smiled.

how interesting.

the gold was in the window of the high- rise. no normal human could have seen the gold.

but enkidu wasn't a normal human, and she had glimpsed it- if only for a second.

enkidu trudged home through the mud. tired, she wondered. could it possibly be considered abuse? after all, she was born from the clay of the ground. with a quick 'sorry' in her head to the ground, she walked on. the rain had stopped earlier that day, and the damp air filled her nose. any other child would've been walking home with their friends, but enkidu didn't have any.

enkidu stopped. frowned. what was that? it sounded like... a whisper on the wind. a 'please'.

a lonely sigh.

but she kept on walking, away from the blond boy who watched her.

the boy in the normal house, with a normal family, with anything but normal past lives.
