Jackie hated what she was about to do but it had to be done. She knocked on Ocean's door and heard a 'come in' so she went in.
"Mommy!" Ocean said excitedly getting up from where she was and hugged her mother
"Hi sweetie" Jackie said hugging back
Ocean pulled away before asking "Do you need something mommy?"
"Yes I need to tell you something but you might want to sit down for it"
"O-kay" Ocean said before sitting down
"I know this isn't gonna be easy to hear but Santa couldn't get your letter"
Ocean looked confused and sad at the same time "What do you mean?"
"I was about to deliver your letter when a random guy came and tore it up"
"Oh..." Ocean said putting her head down
Jackie lifted her chin up and said "But you can still enjoy Christmas with us"
"I don't want to anymore" Ocean said before crawling back into bed
"Are you sure?"
Ocean nodded slowly
"Okay if you change your mind you know where to find me" Jackie said before leaving. Once she was out she started crying "Oh Ocean I'm so sorry I wish you could know the truth..."
