"Everybody still so worked up over what happened to that poor girl. It's so sad in the world these days all these kids dying young." Grandma Rose said as she sat at her usual spot at the kitchen table tuned into the small tv placed in front of her.

"Yeah it's a shame." Tania commented trying to sound sincere but Mari knew that shit was fake as hell.

"Oop, I gots to go! Bye Granny, bye Mari!" Tania belted as she quickly gave them hugs and zoomed out the door leaving Mari and Grandma Rose shaking their heads.

"T some else with herself." Mari chuckled dryly before placing her elbows on the table and resting her head on the back of her hand.

It was a long awkward silence in the room before Mari stood from her seat and spoke.

"Well I guess I'm gone gone 'head and roll ou-

"Sit yo ass down Mari!" Rose said sternly making Mari smack her teeth and sit back down in her seat.

"Shanita called again."

"I already said I had nothing to say to that woman. She should have been dead to me when she shipped me here over something I was not responsible for now she put her abusive ass nigga over me? Nah I'm cool I got nothing to say to that bit- I'm sorry I mean Female." Mari instantly shot off. It's been months since she spoke to her mother, Kentrell, and all the others.
She hadn't even opened up to Tania or Rose about how she has been feeling about everything and it's caused awkward tension in the three of them.

"First of all watch your mouth." Rose pointed at Mari before continuing to speak.
"Now I understand how you feel but at the end of the day that's still your mother and that's my daughter you talking about so when you address her you will address her in a respectful way cause we still family so don't ever fix your mouth to call her anything other than what I named her you hear me?" Rose pointed her finger letting Marí know she was beyond serious at this point.

"Yes ma'am. " Mari mumbled.

"Now I think you should at least contact her and hear her out." Rose continued as Marí shook her head agreeably but she knew she wasn't going to contact Nita or listen to anything she had to say.

"I hear you grandma, well look I love you but I got to gone get out of here to prepare for my flight tonight. See you later and make sure you taking your meds as you should be." Marí stood up hugging grandma rose before leaving out the door.

KENTRELL😈
"Have you done any of the exercises since our last appointment Mr. Gaulden?"

"Honestly... No!" KENTRELL shrugged his shoulder as the Therapist shook his head.

"And why not?"

"Cause I'm tired of being here, I don't even know why I'm here I'm missing out on my shows and that means I'm missing money."

"I do understand that but how will you be able to get through those shows and make your money if you can't stand or walk that well?"

"That's not for you to worry about, you not here for that we supposed to be talking about something else." Kentrell stated sounding irritated.
