It was 3 a.m. in Japan. Some people are in bed, some are still working, some are using the time they should be asleep for something entirely else. She was one of them.
"Victory," A girl with black hair and eyes sitting on the floor said monotonously. She pumped her fist up with little energy. Her name is Joy Mila.
Her other hand held onto a console as she looked at the computer screen, which now showed her overall score, she got a “S” score. She felt satisfied and seconds later, started another game. She was about to start the round, before a sudden vibration from her left side echoed. She first paused the game to then rotate her head to see it was her phone’s vibrations. She put down the console and tried grabbing the phone while having her bottom stuck on the same spot. After a while of stretching, she managed to grab it successfully.
She recognizes the app icon that was notified, it was a notification of an otome game “Love Magic!”. Didn’t she delete this before? She finished all of the routes although the game wasn’t her favourite. She also deleted it since someone didn't like her playing the game. The notification stated that there was a special event occurring, which is odd as events are particularly non-existent in the game throughout the 2 years it's been released.
Well thinking about it won’t change anything, she will just check it out for a moment. It doesn't count as being unloyal right? She tapped on the notification as it redirected her to the app. Tick tock, tick tock. Time goes by as she waits for the game to load. When it finally loaded, a small pop up appeared, There was a link to terms and conditions as well boxes to tick with both, “I have read the terms and conditions”, and “I have accepted the terms and conditions”.
She was never the type to be so cautious and diligent to read the terms and conditions. How badly can this even end? It is merely an otome game. She immediately ticked both boxes (like anybody normal would). She then continued onto checking out the new event. However she found nothing about it. She even searched it up on the internet, but there was no result. What a disappointment.. She sighed, annoyed that she wasted her time and energy to check it out and deleted the game.
She took back her controller and then unpaused the game she was starting beforehand. She focused her attention back to the screen as she played the game, her black eyes, reflecting the blue light, stuck on the screen, her hand controlling the avatar on screen skillfully.
Time is simply meaningless towards a NEET who stays indoor 24/7. She stayed up all night playing various games, before feeling the sleepiness accumulated from having all nighters for 3 days. Her eyelid grew heavier as she slumped to the ground, snoring softly.

She was having her usual dreamless rest before she felt a ray of warmth grazes upon her eyelids. Her eyes slowly fluttered open as her pupils adapted the sudden light that was shining into her eyes. She brought her body upwards as she sat up.
The windows are open? Wait, since when did I have such large windows? No wait- whose hands is this? So small.. She wondered as she closed and opened them, to check if it was her controlling that hand. She then looked down to see thin pale legs without any flaws. She was also wearing a white silk pajama.
… This is definitely not my body. Is this a lucid dream? But It feels so real. She lightly pinched her hand to check for pain. Hurts. Hm, in conclusion this is reality?
She was calmly assessing the situation, she has some exposure to the knowledge of parallel universes so she has already considered a day when she would be randomly transported into one.
Albeit hesitant to leave the fluffy soft bed, she needs to learn more about the current situation. She roamed around her hilariously large room.
Wait first, who is the identity of this body? This room looks so luxurious, yet the decoration is outdated. Am I in an undeveloped world? Oh there’s a mirror there-
