I sat in the dining hall pushing oatmeal back and forth on my plate.

"Adam Brunson." A man says, tapping my shoulder.

I snapped my head back and turned to face him.

Yeah?

"Visiting hours are beginning."

I stood up and followed the man out of the hall and down a long set of stairs.

We walked through several doors before stopping at a room.

"Here." He says walking away.

I turned the knob and walked in.

I searched the room for a familer face. That's when I noticed her.

My mom. Sitting in the corner of the room.

I ran to her and plopped down in the seat.

Mom.

"Baby. I missed you so much." She says.

I looked back and forth before leaning in and whispering.

How's Evan?

"I haven't see him sweetie, I'm sorry." She explains.

I slammed backwards and threw my arms on the table.

Her long polished fingers gripped my arm and pulled me forward.

"What happened to your arm?!" She questions.

I ignored the question and looked straight in her eyes.

Don't worry about me mom.

I'm going to be late for group.

I stood up to leave but she chased after me screaming.

"No! Your coming home!" She screams.

Mr Craig grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the room and into the hall.

She banged on the door and yelled through the glass.

"No! No! I'm taking him home!"

"Don't you want to be fixed?!" He shouts.

"He doesn't need to be fixed!" She yells back at him.

I walked out the front door with my mother practically dragging me to her car.

"Your doing the wrong thing! It's God's will!" Mr craig shouts, running out after us.

"God bless your soul!" She yells out the window.
