After I have collected books for my next class, I slam my locker shut. Today was my first day at Orson high. Yay.

I scanned the hallway. Blondes giggling like their life depended on it a few feet to my right, two idiotic freshmen goofing around and punching each other, and of course you have got your typical football players hollering and talking loudly. I looked back at my locker and closed my eyes to think. 'K,  new school means you need to make new friends. Don't be too mean y/n and flash those pearl whites.

Ugh. Being the new girl is the worst.

I let out a short sigh and turn around when I bump into someone right ahead of me. Gosh, it hasn't even been an hour in this school and I'm already embarrassing myself.

"New here,  huh?" The boy says.  I look up at him. Curly brown hair,  kinda pretty blue eyes and a small smile. A blue football jersey and sneakers made it clear he played football. Just great, this had to be some sort of a dare. Ya sure he was cute with his adorable brown curls and all. But who knows what he wanted?

"I guess.. But I have had my fair share of high school movies and I know for a fact it's pretty uncommon for the cute football player to come and say hi to the dorky new girl." I replied with one eyebrow raised. I may be new but I ain't letting down my guard. I looked at his eyes waiting for his answer.

I expected a frown but he returned my words with a smirk. "Well,  I have seen my share of  high school movies too," he said resting his right hand against the locker next to mine. His smirk softened and shrugging his shoulders he continued, "and it's pretty uncommon for the new girl to be, well, so cute."

Doesn't seem quiet like a dare, but sure. My expression returned to normal but I kept looking at those blue eyes trying to figure this boy out.

He stopped leaning on the locker and stuck his hand out with a smile, "Axl. Axl Heck."

"Y/N L/N." I said and shook his hand that was nearly twice the size of mine.

"Nice to meet you, Y/N."

Just then the bell rang signalling second period. 'course. He put both of his hands in his pockets, ready to head to his class, "Meet me at lunch right here. I'll show you around."

"Sure, Heck."

He winked at me and scampered off.

Great first day of school and I am already crushing on someone.
