Stella fumbled with her locket. She hadn't opened it before and she hadn't even learned how to. She played with the latch, praying that it would open. Finally it did! She gasped and laughed. She turned it around so she could see what was in it. First, was a picture of her parents, James and Lily. They looked exactly like she imagined, they seemed perfect. She looked on the other side and found a picture of Harry. Harry was adorable as a baby! She laughed as she closed the locket. She thought about if she were to see Harry again. He should be twelve now. That means he'd already be going. Hopefully he was so she could see him again. She couldn't wait now! But then the thought hit her. If she just got the letter, what if Harry's never got to him? No, it would have, it's an owl! Stella thought. She heard footsteps in the hallway. Was it Mrs. Jeapord? Stella had taken that book from the library after-hours. She leaped off the bed and crouched beside it. "Who's there?" She whispered, going under the bed and grabbing her baseball bat. She always kept that there. "I Said, Who's There?" She said louder this time, grasping the bat. "Er, the librarian with your borrowing orders." Said the familiar voice of the librarian. "Oh thank you!" Stella Said, jumping up and walking over to the cart. "Are these all mine?" She asked. "Yes. Your new school requires quite a lot of books. I've gotten everything else you need except for a wand." The librarian said. "Oh alright." Stella Said. "But I've gotten permission to bring you to Diagon Alley for an hour until we have to come back." The librarian stated. "Oh my gosh thank you!" Stella jumped up and hugged her. "You're welcome, now go get ready, you have enough grime on you from the attic yesterday." The librarian laughed. Stella nodded and ran to the bathroom. She grabbed a washcloth and attempted to clean her face. Once she finished, she put on her shoes and ran to catch up with the librarian. An hour later, they'd arrived in Diagon Alley. "Ms. Librarian, were you a wizard too?" Stella Asked. The librarian took out her wand. It was cherrywood with vines going around it, and there was heart and the end of it. She nodded. Stella laughed as the librarian tapped rocks on the wall and they opened. "I think I'm going to love magic!" She said. The librarian nodded as she led her to a gray building. Olivander's wand shop
The librarian opened the door. "Ah yes, the young Potter has arrived. I've been expecting you." Said an old man. Stella suspected that to be Olivander. "Good morning." She said. "Good  morning, Mr. Olivander." The librarian said, entering. "Ah, Aria! What a nice surprise." Said Olivander. "Now, young one, come up and receive your first wand." Stella hesitantly walked up to his desk. Olivander handed her a wand. "Oak wood, Dragon heartstring, 7 inches." He said. Stella held the wand carefully and flicked it. A glass broke. She quickly put it back on the table. Olivander handed her another wand and when she flicked it, an ink pot broke. Olivander went to the very back of the shop and grabbed a wand. He handed her it. Japanese Maple wood, Phoenix Feather, 9 inches." He said. Stella held the wand and flicked it. Warmth fled around her. "The wand has chosen you." He said. Stella stared at the wand. "How much will that be, Olivander?" Aria, the librarian asked. "9 galleons please." He said. Aria gave Olivander the money and they left. As they were walking, Stella opened the locket, and smiled at her parents. I hope you're proud of me Mum and Dad. She thought. She closed the locket and ran to catch up with Aria. "That was so cool!" She said.
