Varian's P.O.V!

Raps and Eugene went outside and it was just me in my cell. 

It started to rain, but I know that was not going to make them come back in. 

I was alone for a bit. 

Alone. 

This word reminded me of (Y/N). 

She was alone when I met her. She was alone when I found her with Cassandra. 

I regret it all. 

I wish I could have been there for her. 

(It's the normal routine. Bold is him singing.) 

I took a deep breath in and started to sing... 

"When I turned to walk away what if I had stayed instead?"

"Why did I go on transforming my anger from my mourning?"

I looked around at the cell. 

"Now I'll never get to say all those things I should have said."

"Nothing left to tell, an empty cell, a life I could have led."

The tears start coming. 

"If I could take that moment back if I could stop myself from shaking."

I pictured my father. Still trapped. 

"Maybe my dad would be here now... he'd stop me from breaking."

"Everything is so messed up."

I remember her face. She was so angry and I felt... scared. 

 "Why do I feel so afraid?"

"Thought I was ready, but instead... mistakes were all I made."

"If I could take that moment back if I could turn back time, I would."

Tears still streamed down my face. 

"I wouldn't have the guts to say I'm sorry... but how I wish I could..."

Her face lingered in my mind. Her old face with her beautiful smile and joy-filled eyes.

"Wish I could take it back, but now it's done for good..."

I broke down. I couldn't hold back the tears any longer. 

I felt a soft hand on my shoulder. 

"We will help you get out of here." I hear the princesses say, calmy. 

I look up hopefully but look down quickly. 

"Why are you helping me? I hurt you, threw away all you loved. Why are you being so nice?" 

She hesitated before saying: "Because we both know how you feel, Varian."

"Plus blondie here is too nice to everyone." Eugene states. Raps glare at him. I laugh a bit. 

"That you guys. Thank you so much. This means so much. I need to make it up to here and prove to her that I love her and that I'm sorry. I never meant any harm to her." 

"She's probably regreting doing all this to you. She loves you. I just know it."
