Chapter Three Part one: Papi!

POV of Jade

Lani, Nalani Kate Green she was only 5 years old. She was just a kid playing near the water. She completely forgot about the Slippery moss, and now she's...she's in a hospital bed barely breathing on her own. We all swore we saw the life leave her body, and we were all ready to give up. Everyone except Monty, although Nalani wasn't breathing she kept up hope and she kept performing CPR. If it wasn't for her I would be planning a funeral for my baby sister right now.

I hope and pray my mom sees now that Monty is harmeless and is here by my side for benefit not miss fortune. Anyway, I'm at Monty's place because I'm terrified of hospitals so I can't be near them for more than 2 1/2, because it starts to get to me and I hyperventilate and faint. Monty's been really helpful lately I've been staying at her place the whole weekend so far, today is saturday- and my mom hasn't said anything to me at all.

I'm trying to make an effort to but, she just either stares at me or pretends im not even there. My dad says give her time but I don't think "time" is going to help us. "Pooh bear did you hear me?" POV of Monty

"Why you want me gone?" Why does she want me gone, like I know she's going through things right now,....a lot of things but still I'm not leaving her side. She's really making me mad though. "Because my problems are yours okay, you shouldn't worry about me like the way you do,...." she got up off the bed and she started to walk past me out the door. "I'm not that..." I grab her arm "don't you say it" I said looking her and her eyes letting her know I mean buisness.

She looked down at her arm then back at me and she said "you sure you want to do that, right now?" As in she was warning me, about all those years of karate and Ninjitsu her mama paid for. I'm not afraid of her though because she still my baby girl. "Yeah I'm sure." I say being, bold and taking charge, I grabbed her by the neck (she like that) and I push her up against the wall. "Now I'ma act like I didn't almost hear you say you're not important to me. Because I know that's not what you were going to say right?!"

She was laughing at this point, like any psychotic person would while getting choked, and to be honest it always turns me on. "What? Are you going to punish me for it papi?" I feel conflicted because she said that "nah, I'm not ma." I stand up and I stare out my terrace window onto the city, acting all strong / hard.
