I had my headphones in crying didn't so she wouldn't hear, I wasn't sad at the fact that she pulled me away from Monty. No, I was furious at the way I just stood there like a fucking puppet, and didn't say shit. I feel so stupid. Anyway my phone was blowing up with messages from Monty. Some of the messages were angry, they were about my mom; but then they regressed to being about me.
Like she texted me: R u ok?¿ Or Baby plz don't cry😩 How did she know I read crying? My train of thought was overpowered by my mom turning up her gospel music so loud I couldn't even hear mine anymore. I still kept them in though because I know she knows what she's doing. Honestly I just want to get home, because i have real bad anger issues(ik shocker right) like I would punch the woman in her throat if I could but she's my mom.
Finally we get home, I get out the car she calls my name but I ignore her until she snatches my headphones out of my ears and yells "What the fuck was that I saw when I pulled up? Huh? I told you to leave that girl alone the weeks ago Majonie. "She called me by my middle name, which made my blood start to boil. "Listen Monika, I love that girl! You and no one else can sto-"
At that moment she just extended her arm and slapped me across my face. My right cheek became flush and hot. I ran inside away from her, past my dad(the one who accepts me) and upstairs to my room. Why does she hate me? I mean she created me! What did I do wrong? My phone buzzed again but this time it was my cousin, my best bitch, my yee yee, Giovanni Leigh.
G: Hey Hun, r u ok? Monty told me everything.😔 Big mouth I think to myself. J: Yea I'm Gucci.😌 G: Why r u lying to me?😐 J: I'm not.🤷🏾♀️ G: Open up your door.😑
What I get up and I open up my terris room door, and there she is.

Gio how'd you get up here? "Oh there's this thing called a ladder. " she said sarcastically and walking into my room, like it's hers. She sits on my bed, I join her "oh yea, right." We are silent for a while, until I start to tear up thinking about what happened. She notices "Oh babes." She scoots over to me. "Come here" she hugs my head to her shoulder and all of a sudden all my tears just fall onto her shirt.
"I can't take this anymore Gio!" I say crying harder than I ever have. Then she walks in.
POV of Giovanni
Mrs. Green was hard on Jade because "The goodt lordt doesn't like hetero's!!" I don't like that about her but other wise....she's a great mother.....maybe. Jade doesn't deserve this though, no child does. It's sad you know how a girl's cousin instead of her own mother just wants the child to be happy. "Oh hello Leigh, when did you get here?" Mrs. Green calls me by my middle name because she feels like Giovanni is a boys name.
