"Nice, but your rogue right? Surely you would be a great asset in a pack" Matthew said in appreciation and surprise.

"Yes I am rogue and my skill at gathering Intel keeps me and my sister somewhat safe" I said bowing my head, I know my place in life and this is it.

"Only somewhat?" he asked curiously.

"Yes" I sighed "trouble seems to follow her where ever she goes without doing anything, she just seems to be a magnet for trouble"

"Uh huh, so this is why you only asked to stay one night" Matthew's eyes lit up in realisation.

"Yeah, she should have lost the ones following her so her coming here should be a good place to hide" for now I didn't voice the last bit as I'm too grateful to this pack.

"What's your sister's name?" Matthew asked probably getting tired of the pronoun game.

"Kat" Jason said confidently, and I just look at him I all his smugness I mean he was quiet up until now.

"Kathryn but she goes by Kat" I say while looking disapprovingly at Jason, who's face, dropped slightly.

"Ok and she shifts in to a panther right?" Matthew continued his interrogation.

"Yeah a giant panther when she is alert and a normal sized one when she feels safe. Saying that I've only seen her normal sized one, once before and that was when she was sixteen" I said honestly, again lying would be a big mistake but not telling the whole truth is alight-ish.

"It's that bad" Jason said looking astonished.

"Yep" I nodded cheerfully.

"How long has this been going on?!?!" Matthew exclaimed, oh gosh how long has it been.

"Hhmmmm Kat is nineteen and I' twenty two so four years but it all started when I first shifted" I said thoughtfully "In that time we've been hunted down, attacked, Kat got tortured, I got the same treatment but not as bad. And almost all the time we've been running and haven't seen each other for six mouths" I continued unnecessarily while Jason and Matthew looked horrified.

"Oh my god man, that's horrible" Jason said after awhile.

"WHAT?!!" Matthew shouted "well for now your safe here" he continued slightly calmer only slightly.

"Yep, you could become part of the pack" Jason suggested, sorry Mr. Hopeful

"Sorry that's not a good idea" I interjected; I saw his bright eyes dull a bit.

"Why not" Matthew pouted, hold on why is he pouting, major personality change.

"Because we've learnt that packs tend to turn on each other when one of the members are more dangerous and we have learned how to work without the help of packs" I tried not to give the too much information "plus some of us don't like working in packs" I added, meaning Kat she hate packs and I don't blame her as packs are after her, packs torture her.

"Well that's a very feline point of view" Matthew sounded offended but he wasn't it was just his pride.

"Well yeah Kat it a panther after all plus she has more trauma when It comes to packs" I said feeling bad for my sister.

"Hey I'm here" Kat's voice drown out all my current thoughts but one still remained; Speak of the devil and she will come.

"Right stay there, I'm coming" I said back jumping up which'd made Matthew look at me curiously.

"She's here" I state calmly while I hear Matthew echo it in the pack link.

I ran out the open door with Jason right behind me, he was holding a spare t shirt that would be several sized too big for both of us combined; I'm guessing this was for Kat as she will be naked when she shifts back and we don't want the wold to see her scared covered body. Shifting is different for males as we keep our trouser on when we shift back but women shift back with nothing on, its weird in every right.
